Barron isn't a top 10 pick.. Check out the Draft forum..

Wait, what? Did the 32 GMs in the NFL just post what they thought of Barron in our Draft Forum?

Anyone with a modicum of a brain can tell that Barron isn't a top 10 pick.. There are plenty of other, better players who are seniors.. Never mind the juniors who haven't declared..

Oh.. and another thing. Those were two separate thoughts I posted. Only a moron would make the assumption you did.

I didnt like our D at all. the offense was, again, very good. but the D? god...

Awful game to watch on D.

That said two of the Skins scoring drives occurred with key penalties. One McCourty's brain dead PI where a simple tackle would have forced a punt is addressable via coaching. Another where 75 committed a stupid PF on a stop, same solution. And a 3rd where Carter got called for a tacky hit below the knew.

Were I London Fletcher I too would be wicked pissed on that awful PF called when he hit Brady who slid at the last millisecond.

the PF call on fletcher was something that's on the NFL books when a QB slides.

however, i don't get the PF on WIlfork who simply landed on top of a guy who wasn't touched after making a reception.

I am not a huge fan of Jeff Tripplette.

We just dropped to 33rd in the league with that performance:rolleyes:....The skins just got another completion:eek:

Safe to say the ref's were terrible today. The only thing they did well is spread the bad calls evenly for both teams.....

BBs clock management today was abysmal.....

What I found a bit baffling was that with under two minutes, the Redskins have first and goal from the 9 I think, then the pats do nothing to try to preserve the clock in the event the Redskins score a td.

I thought for sure after each play, the pats would call a timeout to save themselves some time in the event the skins scored.

They got lucky Moss tossed it to Mayo.

But in the event the skins did score, the pats could have gauranteed themselves about a minute and a half of clock time.

I know this won't be the first reference to the 2006 Colts but think about the possibilities. There's a good chance we could get through the AFC playoffs playing below averages offenses that our defense can handle as long as they avoid stinkers like today, if Chung and SPikes come back full strength it may happen. Then may have to play one game (NO/GB) where our QB will have to light it up. Just like Manning had to have one great game in their SB run. It's doable when you have the GOAT under center.

Our offense doesn't need to play lights out to beat teams like BALT and HOU they just can't be completely inept as they were the last 3 playoff games.

Fact remains though that you're not going to win 3-4 straight playoff games winning games like todays. We have alot to work on.

The fact that you think the discussion in the draft forum regarding a prospect is relevant to how he is going to be evaluated by NFL GMs is hilarious. You just referred a poster to the draft forum for actual analysis of a prospect. How out of touch are you? Your opinion means NOTHING regarding these prospects.

His opinion is his opinion, and it is just that, an opinion. You don't need to call him an idiot for stating his opinion on a topic.

pats personnel has gone from average to well below average. Pats win because of brady / great pass protection / great control
passing game and a weak afc.

Pats team speed is dreadful.

I'm usually pumped about us drafting our way into a good defense and improving our receivers and rb's. We drafted vereen & ridley yet helu ran all over us. I sure hope mallet is a less athletic aaron rodgers. He reminds me a little too much of kerry collins. Our drafting/personnel philosophy no longer works - change it is broken.

Wow have the pats screwed up the personnel on this team.

Butler / merriweather / sanders etc all could be starting.

What high draft pick gets cut this week. Cunningham ?? Or is he gone already.

We have more picks than anyone yet have less to show for it. How come our rookies can't step in. Can parcell's shop for us and then go away.

How could the steelers with similar drafting position but far less picks, overhaul their receiver corp so quickly. Houston has done the same on defense. I would still prefer the saints draft to ours.

All this and we still will finish 13-3 or 12-4.

I didn't call him an idiot. I called him out of touch. And only after he called me a moron. Besides, anyone who refers another poster to another thread for prospect analysis is out of touch. If he had quotes from actual scouts, GMs, etc, then I could see why he would use another thread as a valid resource. But it's just a bunch of posters discussing a prospect.

This board whines so much after a Win i can't believe it.

Yes brady had a bad game and missed some easy throws... he still finnished 350+ yards 3 tds 1 int.

Yes the D didn't play well. They came up big when we needed, got 7 points off a strip sack and had one or 2 key stops. VW roughing the guy on the ground penalty along with the penalty on carter that took devin's int away were BS. That took away 2 more stops from our D. Am i making excuses for them? NO, if we play like this consistantly in the playoffs we are a chance to lose against a good team like GB, Pitsburg or NO but so are alot of other good teams and they are definately a big chance of losing to us if we get hot.

Yes we have alot to work on but this is a damn good team. We are 10-3 with a strong chance of finishing number one/two in the AFC.

We have a young superstar in Gronk blossoming in front of us. Enjoy the ride and be a fan.

Game went nothing like I had expected and besides our inability to stop the redskins, this game was very entertaining.

My biggest concern was how they ran it down our throats. It is rare to see us constantly gashed by the run. Lastly, how about dem Broncos. Prater kicking pressure packed kicks like vinateri use to.

That's why i am worried about Denver..they run the ball great

We are not getting to the superbowl without a serious commitment to the run game. Our problem isn't the RB, or the blocking, or this and that. In fact, we've proven that when we put our mind to it, we can dominate with our run game. We destroyed the #1 defense (at the time) with the run game earlier in the season.

However I do acknowledge that the constant shuffling on OL has been a problem. Our run game hasn't been the same since we lost Koppen and had to move Connolly from RG (he is by far the best trapping/kick out guard we have).

Our main problem seems to be the lack of commitment to the run, of the team and coaches really putting their minds to it (in terms of game plan design), and putting Brady back into his place and telling him to stop trying to carry the team so much. That will be better for him over the long run anyway.

Yep, I was screaming the same thing the whole time during that emotionally draining goal-to-go stand. No idea how BB justifies letting the clock wind down there?

Really!

I was worried that Washington was going to get the TD, and then since they're out of playoff contention would go for 2 just because. And then they'd succeed and we'd have no time to attempt the winning score.

The rush defense was the problem today . Really opened up the play action and slowed the pass rush which in turn hurt our secondary and not let grossman do his thing -throw int's. Had they stopped the run early on it couldve been much easier on the pass defense.

I'm with you on the run game. If the defense does it's part, we have to start committing more to the run. I've been begging for more balance from the getgo, I don't think a team has ever won the super bowl relying solely on it's QB. We may be able to win a good portion of our games on Brady's arm but at some point we have to swallow our pride and go more conservative.

Today I'll give the playcalling a pass though seeing how our defense didn't do it's part and we had to slug it out. The one series on the goal line was inexcusable though when it was 2nd and 2/3rd and 2 and we ran the spread both plays.
