Cannon, Faulk, Deaderick, Brace
SOME OF THE ROSTER SPOTS AVAILABLE
Molden, Moore, Ventrone, Brown
Obviously, Cannon could replace Thomas.
I believe the first 3 practiced briefly last week so decisions on them have to come by next week. Cannon only came off this week so he has two more weeks before a decision has to be made. I would imagine Vollmer's condition is a concern in that regard. Heading into November-December I'm sure Bill doesn't have a problem carrying 5 running backs. We did it all last year even though one never could get on the field - and we could have certainly used him.
Seems like we potentially could see all four of them activated.
I can see Fletcher and Dowling both going to IR. .
Of all four players, I think Cannon is easiest to IR- after giving him 3 weeks of actual practice experience, although I personally hope this wouldn't be the case- I think he gives us major upside talent-wise and is a big upgrade over Donald Thomas who is the sole backup OG.
I'm pretty sure you have until after your week 10 game, which is another 2 weeks. I believe the rule is that they can practice from week 6 to week 10, not that a clock starts to tick when they practice.I believe the first 3 practiced briefly last week so decisions on them have to come by next week. "If I had to guess, I would point to Donald Thomas and Ross Ventrone as two players who will probably be cut to make way for two new players. Maybe also one of the following: Adams or Mouldin."
Note that were we to activate all 4 out of the dog house none of them play STs excepting Faulk as a PR so we'd be impacting a less than stellar part of the squad.

It bears repeating here that you cannot IR or "redshirt" a player who is not injured (e.g., Vereen).
Questions for anyone. Not just you, Patspsycho: If Vereen isn't injured why hasn't he gotten even a single snap? Did he even get a single snap in preseason?
