Saw the Colts dump the Bengals the other day. No doubt about that one. No chance for the Cats; the young horses ran circles around them.
I know it's heresy to say it here but I have to be honest: as much as the Patriots have fed off of the "no respect" card these past six years, the constant smack-down of Peyton's character seems to have made him more determined and resolute to prove the naysayers wrong. Why wouldn't it?? If it works for Rodney and company, it will work for others.
Manning sure didn't look like a dead loser against the Bengals on Monday night; he looks serious, like he's on a mission.
Will he fall apart again?? Doesn't look like he plans on it.
Meanwhile, we're going to have our hands full against the Jags. I'm inclined to say we don't beat 'em. I'd love to be proven wrong, but that's my gut.
Anyway, that's why we play the games, isn't it? To see if we can pull it together. Love to see it happen; won't be surprised if it doesn't, though, not with what's happened this year.
