Saw the Colts dump the Bengals the other day. No doubt about that one. No chance for the Cats; the young horses ran circles around them.

I know it's heresy to say it here but I have to be honest: as much as the Patriots have fed off of the "no respect" card these past six years, the constant smack-down of Peyton's character seems to have made him more determined and resolute to prove the naysayers wrong. Why wouldn't it?? If it works for Rodney and company, it will work for others.

Manning sure didn't look like a dead loser against the Bengals on Monday night; he looks serious, like he's on a mission.

Will he fall apart again?? Doesn't look like he plans on it.

Meanwhile, we're going to have our hands full against the Jags. I'm inclined to say we don't beat 'em. I'd love to be proven wrong, but that's my gut.

Anyway, that's why we play the games, isn't it? To see if we can pull it together. Love to see it happen; won't be surprised if it doesn't, though, not with what's happened this year.

Manning really does look good this year and even more focused. Too bad (for him and Ryan) he doesn't have the "horses" on defense to get it done this year.

If they last long enough to meet up with the Patriots - we will eat his team up be it in Indy(likely) or Foxboro(doubtful). I say that because I see our running game jelling in the playoffs and see our "D" keep them under control. We will be able to "hold" them to 24 points as we score 34.

As for Jax...my gut says we win this - maybe even easy, depending on how many of the injured return. If we get W&W along with what appears to be Rodney and Maroney - we will win by 21 points. My gut is bigger than yours so I win.

Um, it might have helped if the Bengals knew whether they were running ot throwing or just taking a knee so that awsome Colts' defense didn't eat them alive.

Hard to concentrate when when every time a fire truck goes by, you start looking around at your teammates to see whose gettin jiggy.

Ha!! Got to get myself up off the floor after that last one!! You're just lucky I've been eating less these days. :D

You bring up a great point about that very porous run D of the young horses. Could be their Achilles heel. Hope so. Question is whether the Pats O can take advantage of that. Jury is still out, imo.

As for Sunday, the Jags are rising to their peak. Whether that peak will be higher than the Pats' (nice little ski area in NH, btw, Pats Peak; it's in Henniker -- the "only Henniker in the world", understandably -- but I digress... ) remains to be seen. For the Jags this game is their season. They've got a boatload of incentive to make it their best game of the year, and I've got to think they will play their hearts out.

I still have to wonder how much the Pats have got it together. Maybe I need to increase my calorie intake.

Yeah, strange how the Bengals turned into such purring kitties just when they had their chance to make a statement .... Maybe they're the only ones it could happen to. (???)

I wonder if the Pats know how to overcome that ??

Sure, you hand Troy Brown a water bucket and watch him put out the fires.

Oh, yeah, that's right! And he'll be doing it while running back kicks, playing nickle, being possession receiver, and filling in as "special situation" QB -- all in the span of three minutes.

Unique guy.
