The fool who started the thread got owned by another poster who showed that the Patriots have more yards and penalties than the Bills, and it was followed up by this comment:

the refs just call them against the pats when it wont really hurt them....then it looks good for people like you rolling out the stats
Nobody can possibly be that stupid, right? And sad enough, another poster AGREED with him! I was almost tempted to sign up just to respond to that comment.
By the way, I recall the Patriots getting the most penalties in a single game in team history last year against the Colts, and yet they still won. Penalties are a weak excuse. But these guys amaze me with their conspiracy theories.

Let me warn you, on twobillsdrive, you will get quickly banned if you say anything that goes against the conventional wisdom exhibited on that board. That board attracts the very worst and stupid Bills fans around, they want to bench Edwards after their loss to the Dolphins for crying out loud.

Boneman, every message board has its lunatic fringe. Every one of 'em does. Our fringe on TBD usually forces me into exile in the offseason (to the college football forums, which I believe you used to frequent when you were on TBD). That fringe also keeps me off the main board on game days too, for the most part. Rational conversation gets lost in the mad dash to blame people when things don't go well. W/ Bills fans, it's compounded by nearly a decade of futility in terms of reaching the playoffs. Hopefully, and I really do mean hopefully, people will calm down once the Bills get that monkey off their back.
Of course, these past couple weeks isn't helping matters.
Maybe peekaboo or R.Rich can offer their opinion, but I think Bills Zone tends to be a bit more level-headed and intelligent than Two Bills Drive or the Bills official team web site. (As a heads up, you do have to register in order to read the messages on Bills Zone, but it's quick and painless.) I think just about every NFL team has it's share of idiotic fans posting messages on fan forums, especially after a loss. We should know, we've had more than our fair share of dumb threads and comments this season.

I used to think the heirarchy in regard to rationality was as follows:
1. TBD
2. BB.com
3. Billszone
Recently, I've seen each board degrade to childish antics. I've been on the staff of Two Bills Drive (TBD) for years and I still think TBD is probably the least idiotic, but they're getting newer (and, I'll bet, much younger) users by the day who drag down the intelligence quotient by each post. Like most of the boards, the subforums are much less crazy. I run the college football forum, and we have a small but dedicated group of people who post info there (many are alums from major college schools, live near, or are just hardcore fans of 'em). That's my refuge during the offseason.
I was on staff over on Billszone from '04 til a couple months ago, and it has its moments as well. The off topic boards aren't too bad, but the main board for Bills talk can get flat out insane. I steer clear of it as much as possible.
BB.com really seems to have a younger group of posters who thrive on the childish stuff. I go there from time to time, but I really don't hang out there.

Whoa there, the same thing happens here. Bills fans aren't stupid, they're homers. Just like Patriots fans. Even though we lost 2 in a row, we won the first 4. We're just learning how to win. It's been so long since we have done that.

It does get childish. But, there are some very smart Bills fan that are realists. It's those realists that get bashed because they call it like they see it.

You know what, Tom Brady and the rest of the Pats can't play forever. You'll be back to your 2-14 seasons and feel the same way us Bills fans do, bank on it.
