OK on the first 11, although Herbert with good coaching will likely find his way up the list. He is indeed a superstar.

So, Maye was the best of all the rookie QB's? and presumably is expected to be better than all but these 11 next year?
======
I find it extremely patriot-centric to believe that Maye was or will be better than all the QB's from the last two years, in 2024 or 2025.
=====
To be clear, I wanted us to draft Maye (no-brainer) and I believe that he will lead us to Super Bowls. However, to believe that he is close to say Jaden in 2024 or 2025 makes little sense to me.

CONGRATS to AVP, McCarthy and McAdoo!!! Maye wasn't nearly ready to start the season, and certainly not with our OL and WR's. Where Maye is today is a minor miracle given the situation during 2024. That being said, Maye has a long way to go. A top mentor in 2025 will help a lot over the next several months going into Game One of the 2025 season. Coaching is critical. Poor coaching leads, well we know what it leads to.
Same opinion. I think it's very hard to put Maye over Daniels when Daniels is ahead of him in every single efficiency stat (aka stats not accounting for Maye not starting the whole season). Especially when Daniels led his team to 12 wins and Maye really only played 1 full game where he led his team to the win.

Passer Rating: Daniels is 11th, Maye is 23rd
QBR: Daniels is 4th and Maye is 18th
Y/A: Daniels is 14th, Maye is 27th
Comp %: Daniels is 6th, Maye is 13th
AY/A: Daniels is 13th, Maye is 28th
INT: Daniels played the whole season and has 9. Maye has 10 with far less time on the field.
Daniels led his team to 12 wins, Maye has 1 win (you can say he started in 3 wins, but Jacoby won that game he got injured and Maye barely played last Sunday).

Even if you want to make the "look at the surrounding talent" argument, there's just way too much of a difference right now to comfortably say Maye is the clear best rookie of the class.

Right now Daniels is the clear best QB of the class. Then Maye and Bo Nix are basically in a deadheat for the next spot. And when I say a deadheat, I mean a deadheat

Second year jump....for QBs? I mean, there's a jump, but there's also going to continue to be unevenness. I don't have anything against the idea a guy can open it up in year 2, but you just have to realize year two is when teams are really going to be able to prepare for him.

A- considering his porous situation. Just needs to cut down on the turnovers; though a few weren’t his fault. He’ll be top 5 soon (especially if Ben Johnson is the coach).
