gates and rivers are still doubtful. it will be a game-time decision. but rivers did practice today.

From what I've heard Rivers didn't look so good in practice today. He only practiced with (or mostly with) the second team, and couldn't generate any kind of decent push off.

Oh, and Gates looked like a shell of himself against the Colts, who was stuck in slow motion. If anything he'll be a decoy.

I wish they were all healthy and all played, that way there would be no excuses when we win

Doubtful - most of the fans here know full well that a healthy unknown is more dangerous than an unhealthy known quantity... which is why I think a lot of fans WANT Rivers in there.

Many of us can rattle off the number of games where the backup came in and played well beyond their capabilities to give us a scare - the Eagles game is certainly one.

This team takes every opponent seriously and doesn't go into any game expecting a cake walk - which is precisely why they are 17-0...
