Would You Have Bill Back If:

Have him back? No, not at this point. His time in New England has run its course... The die have been cast, and we've moved on... no point in going backwards now...

However, I wouldn't have fired him at the end of last year either, least not the way it was handled by the Krafts... Bill earned better from them... My approach would have been to work with him to set up a revamped front office... Ultimately, i dont think he would have agreed to such a set up, but I would have made the attempt first...

I think the Krafts did him dirty in the way they handled his departure.... then the follow up hatchet job in The Dynasty... Lessened my opinion of Kraft more than somewhat...
I wanted him gone earlier BUT agree…the hatchet job is something which forever altered my esteem for the Krafts. They have further eroded that esteem with this God awful clownshow staff they hired to replace him.

The perfect ending? 2017 ends, TB12 gets a four or five year 100/120m dollar contract... Both walk away into the sunset, together, super bowl glory and all time wins leaders...

I will NEVER understand why they did Brady the way they did. I will always believe a tad bit of humility from Bill back then could have lead to another Superbowl and Tommy staying.

Bill had surrounded himself with only people who agreed with him.

Pioli was noted (as was Floyd Reece) for challenging him.

I believe this all started after spygate and the mangina betrayal... was never the same after that... circle of trust kept getting smaller and smaller... hence guys like Patricia and Judge stick around for no good reason but loyalty

Agree wholeheartedly.

Hell no. Love him for the 6 superbowls but he was the drizzling ****s for 3 maybe even 4 years before they let him go.

I’m not convinced he even gets another job honestly unless he backs off his “total control” non-negotiable.

That said, Kraft badly botched replacing him.
The second part .. Kraft lost his sinker and fast ball

Because he genuinely believed that he could do it with anybody at QB. Only thing that makes sense based on how things went down as he had no plan at all

I love this thread already. My predictions have been right on schedule asking for Bill back. Now I'm just waiting on the media to get on board.

With that said, the ship has sailed. I want Bill to go to a contender and make Bobby sweat.

The man was doing a reboot. He needed this season to fix the offense. Our owner has made a huge mistake that will be very difficult to recover anytime soon.
No because he didn’t even attempt to build an offense that could score more than 21 points per game. He's 70 something, he doesn’t have his fast ball anymore.

Plan A would've been a sit down with Bill and ask him what he needs to get this team back to where it needs to be? Could we get Pioli, John Robinson or Dimetroff back? Can we get a better OC? How does he want to address the QB situation?

It seems Bob was tired of Bill and needed an excuse to let him go because Bob made a huge mistake letting Tom Brady go over an additional year.

And, if all of those things came to pass with Bill coming back, it would have to be understood by Bill that it's just for 2 to no more than 3 seasons max. Then, the young Coordinator who's hopefully shown that he's ready for "The Big Chair" can take over and continue to work with Pioli, etc.

I had always been a big defender of Bill, he’s the GOAT, period. But I would have fired him because I didn’t want him having any say over the roster, and he clearly didn’t want Maye, and I believe he would have screwed with his development if he was still here.

That said if Bill becomes the coach of the Cowboys, or anyone else, other than an AFCE team, I’ll root for him to pass Shula, and win another ring. I have absolutely nothing against him, I just don’t want him back.

He has critics no doubt... but he's better than what we have in house right now...

Strategically for any given game he is the greatest coach ever, and he’s the GOAT anyways, but I still don’t want him back,

that was about Josh not BB

Would you have Bill back if he agreed to work with a G.M. or G.M. Type like a Scott Pioli (or someone who's a solid evaluator of talent (both Drafting and FA Acquisition's) and who would be responsible for rebuilding the Team/Roster, and bring in a Non-Josh McDaniels/B.O.B new and effective OC (and Offensive Coaching Staff). That Bill just had to be the HC and even be the Classic "Dark Lord of The Sith" B.B. that we came to know and love (and with the understanding that his successor would already be on the new Coaching Staff if that person proves worthy to succeed him). Yes or No? I'm not advocating for one or the other, I'm just curious as to what all of you think on the subject.

lol

He wouldn't come back here, if you paid him 100 million a year.
