Words on things I watched, read & heard

15, 2022-24 1st. Gilmore and JC. Somebody tell me this is enough and will work.

If we lose Thuney take the best OL available or pass catcher with our 2nd & 3rd Round picks.

Sign Golladay. L Williams. C Davis.

Another idea ... Let's say we lose Thuney? Maybe we manage a to land Trent Williams, move Onwenu to LG and Wynn to RT. Williams, Onwenu (almost 700lbs! Right there) Andrews, Shaq & Wynn.

We could still trade for Watson and sign Davis, TY, Fuller.

That OL has some potential though.

I don't see any way Thuney remains. MIA, NYG or HOU will overpay for him.
I missed where Trent Williams was a possibility. I thought he was settled in SF and was getting a new contract. Wynn is plenty good at LT and his dependability will not increase by moving to right. If Cannon comes back with Onwenu at LG that is a combination to start with. Can Herron push him out? Does Cajuste actually exist? The OL can always improve but at least there are relevant starting blocks.
I didn't understand the trade proposal. Was that 4 #1's plus Gilmore and JC. Gilmore will be gone but JC also? Watson convinced me this year but IDK. I anyone could overcome no #1's I could believe in BB.
Golladay to many injuries for me. I assume L. Williams is Leonard of NYG. He will want big money. All in on Corey Davis. Fuller to many injuries. TY (Hilton?) injuries, lost his edge.
This is fun talking about the team of the future. Encouraged by McCourtey's remarks about opt outs returning. I think Hightower is a really important piece and he will probably want more money.

Why not just slide Wynn to LG and keep Onwenu at RT?

where is the best spot for onwenu? He played really well at right tackle, but could he be a perennial all pro at left guard?

First thing first, I would like for us to resign Andrews.

I think thuney leaves in free agency and we get a comp 3rd rounder in 2022.

if onwenu stays at right tackle, we could sign freeney in free agency or draft someone like brown of Alabama in round 2 to play left guard.

if onwenu is best at left guard, we could sign a monster 6’8” and 400 pound right tackle faalala from Minnesota in the 3rx round, He is a monster run blocking, but below average pass protector.

Brown concerns me with his ability to move in space. The Senior bowl showed flaws there due to his weight. There was a play a WR Screen where he was supossed to go out from the RG position but was too late and the play was busted. I think if you have Mason and Onwenu i would like to see a LG who is a little bit more Athletic. I personally lobe Slater from Northwestern. He is probably gone but could be huge on these left side with wynn. He has the versality to play LT LG and C. I hope we resign Andrews as well. Thuney is a goner for me. I think we can more likely find a solid replacement for him via draft than a top WR.

In the Senior Bowl it looked like Brown could only go straight ahead. Don't think he is agile enough for Pats system.

I probably bought into his hype a little bit too much. Looks like he might have to go Onwenu's way and others and lose a few pounds.

I want the most athletic guys outside of I can. In that far-fetched scenario we'd have two very athletic tackles. Two power pigs at guard that can move and Andrews. Just think that lineup would be peak for those players.

Wrong, but thanks for playing...
He's correct. You're ALWAYS pushing your 20/20 hindsight BS. Hell, you haven't even admitted to being so wrong about ONWENU. Guy showed just how big of a clown you truly are.

The Patriots can re-sign Thuney at any point or Franchise him again. And I do think it's going to happen.

Onwenu's best position is at LG, imho. Moving Thuney to Center full time with Herron at RT or as the Swing Tackle behind Cannon would be fine.

TY Hilton will be 32 this season.

Why do you want to resign a center that continues to have issues picking up the late blitzer and isn't all that stout at the POA? Andrews is an above average center, but not a world beater. Thuney would be a HUGE upgrade over him, even at the cost. An o-line with Onwenu, Thuney, and Mason in the middle would crush opposing D-lines in the run game. It would also force defenses to focus more manpower in the center of the field, opening things up on the edges in both the run game AND the passing game.

In the Senior Bowl it looked like Brown could only go straight ahead. Don't think he is agile enough for Pats system.

when we had Brady, the zone blocking scheme complimented him perfectly.

news flash: we no longer have Brady!

whoever the new qb is needs a power running game or we are setting him up for failure like we did with newton,

in order to have a power running game, we need people movers! This draft is full of people mover offensive line guys.

brown is among the best, but needs to play at 340 not 360.

brown from northern Iowa is another people mover.

there are many others as well.

I've learned a long time ago to never say never until the contract is signed.
I missed where Trent Williams was a possibility.

See above

I love but I don't think people realize just how good Williams is. He's the best at his position on any given Sunday more often than not. So it has absolutely nothing to do with Wynn's durability. Just creating the best OL possible.
If Cannon comes back with Onwenu at LG that is a combination to start with. Can Herron push him out? Does Cajuste actually exist? The OL can always improve but at least there are relevant starting blocks.

Yep. I don't spend to much time worrying what I'm giving up on fictional trades lol. I wouldn't irl either. I'd worry or be concerned a lot more with what I'm getting back and look like. Billy Beans philosophy.

Thinking here is ... Gilly will be gone soon anyway and JC was udfa. I have np throwing either one in for a top 5-7 QB who's 25.

Losing those 1's hurt but if you draft well and hit in FA it's not impossible. Besides Mahomes that starting offense only has 1 or two 1st round players I believe.

I don't think Bill ever gives up that much for any position though including QB fwiw.
Golladay to many injuries for me.
Maybe but he's proven and a big play guy.
I assume L. Williams is Leonard of NYG.
He will want big money.
It's FA so everyone will be overpriced and overpaid. Still need good proven players though.
All in on Corey Davis. Fuller to many injuries. TY (Hilton?) injuries, lost his edge.

Hightower is the most valuable piece from the opt outs. He's a game changer when healthy.

I want Cannon back but could see that going either way.
