Are you saying that if Andy Dalton were on the Patriots and said it that you'd agree with him and think it was good?
Yeah this has been discussed quite a bit. We'll see a whole new Mac by next summer for sure.i think two factors CONCERN me about starting Mac.
1. I mentioned a couple weeks ago and others seem to agree/reiterate; whether his body conditioning is nfl ready for the rigors. TB had to add major muscle. That photo of Mac w the Post-TN game cigar makes you think he might still have some baby fat LOL
You can't make decisions this big on something like this. Or trying to protect him from Flores game 1 or Brady game 4. Besides most players hit highs & lows during a season.2. What about the infamous rookie wall?
the college 10 game season and nfl NOW 17 game season are much different. Do you really want your ‚higher ceiling‚ guy hitting his rookie wall right when you are in the final Play-off Push or first PO game?
from that perspective it might be better to start cam for the first 4-6 games. (Saying as he secretly really really wants to see Mac vs TB. )
I wasn’t throwing out the question (2) to protect him from anyone (that is a different possible (possibly interesting ) line of discussion);Yeah this has been discussed quite a bit. We'll see a whole new Mac by next summer for sure.

If he's the best option you play him game one.
Yeah, I think the same. However, their OL is the key to their fate. Harris is a beast, the skill positions are in abundance & the defense should at least be solid (Watt, Heyward, Tuitt, Fitzpatrick, Haden, Bush, Schobert, Edmunds & of course Cassius Marsh ). If Harris & Freiermuth get it & Ballage, Claypool, Dionte & Washington take that next step they should be in the mix. They just have to make sure Ben doesn’t have 6,000,000 attempts.I see the Steelers being dangerous this season. Ben has 1 last run in a Lombardi in him.
If Najee Harris is for real, RB has been the missing piece of the Pitt offense.

Their OL was ok when Bell was there.I like Harris a lot but Pitt has a lot of questions to answer for on the oline.
They have lacked a true work horse RB. WRs,TEs and situational RBs are there.Yeah, I think the same. However, their OL is the key to their fate. Ben will be broke down on the shelf by mid season.I see the Steelers being dangerous this season. Ben has 1 last run in a Lombardi in him.
