Content Post Words on things I watched, read & heard II

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.
Maybe the most underrated receiver in the league. Definitely among the top. Always loved his game. Perfect Patriots receiver.

As long as nothing tragic happened to create this opportunity... I like the idea of Mac getting a day with all the 1s on offense and defense.

I just saw that Carson Wentz and Quenton Nelson practiced almost in full today for the Dolts. Weren’t they supposed to be out half the season? Is someone being dishonest with their injuries (not that injury reports are even required in TC)?

Are you saying that if Andy Dalton were on the Patriots and said it that you'd agree with him and think it was good?

Before his game over the weekend vs the Bills, I would've said yeah... Now I'm not so sure...

i think two factors CONCERN me about starting Mac.
1. I mentioned a couple weeks ago and others seem to agree/reiterate; whether his body conditioning is nfl ready for the rigors. TB had to add major muscle. That photo of Mac w the Post-TN game cigar makes you think he might still have some baby fat LOL
Yeah this has been discussed quite a bit. We'll see a whole new Mac by next summer for sure.
2. What about the infamous rookie wall?

the college 10 game season and nfl NOW 17 game season are much different. Do you really want your ‚higher ceiling‚ guy hitting his rookie wall right when you are in the final Play-off Push or first PO game?

from that perspective it might be better to start cam for the first 4-6 games. (Saying as he secretly really really wants to see Mac vs TB. ;) )
You can't make decisions this big on something like this. Or trying to protect him from Flores game 1 or Brady game 4. Besides most players hit highs & lows during a season.

If he's the best option you play him game one.

I wasn’t throwing out the question (2) to protect him from anyone (that is a different possible (possibly interesting ) line of discussion);

but rather saying team may want to save him a little to make sure he is still most effective when the games are win or go home. If he only has 14 effective games in a rookie year; it’s better to have them Games 7-20 (SB); then 1-14 and go home after game 18.

as a Fan, i‘d rather see him game 1; but the little bit of Ernie Adams in me says that might not be the best statistics-based result.

I see the Steelers being dangerous this season. Ben has 1 last run in a Lombardi in him.

If Najee Harris is for real, RB has been the missing piece of the Pitt offense.
Yeah, I think the same. However, their OL is the key to their fate. Harris is a beast, the skill positions are in abundance & the defense should at least be solid (Watt, Heyward, Tuitt, Fitzpatrick, Haden, Bush, Schobert, Edmunds & of course Cassius Marsh ). If Harris & Freiermuth get it & Ballage, Claypool, Dionte & Washington take that next step they should be in the mix. They just have to make sure Ben doesn’t have 6,000,000 attempts.

I like Harris a lot but Pitt has a lot of questions to answer for on the oline.

Their OL was ok when Bell was there.

He was the weirdest RB I've ever seen. Looked slow, but cracked off nice runs making it he Pitt offense tick.

They have lacked a true work horse RB. WRs,TEs and situational RBs are there.

Conner was mediocre. You're right, Ben cannot wind up to pass every other play.

Ben will be broke down on the shelf by mid season.
