Walter JONES, baby.

Currently projected for the 6th Round, this Dark Horse out of East Carolina may very well SOAR.

But at the end of the day, he's raw enough that we'll STILL probably be able to snag him in the 4th or 5th.

* ALL PRO POTENTIAL *

Willie Smith + Dante Scarnecchia = Walter Jones. :rocker:

Big man + hellacious flat top + ZBS?

Get in the bandwagon boys.

Another converted TE. He needs to add weight at only 290. A project that has "high ceiling"! Interesting player and one to keep an eye on. Does he have an invite to the combine?

My current binkie project is Lee Smith but this guy is closer to tackle weight, I'd love to test both and get an idea of their measurables.

If he has a fantastic pro day he may be moving into round 3. Great feet and hands!

The guy is raw. Perhaps the rawest linemen I've ever considered for the Patriots. Scar usually looks for technicians first, athletes second. Smith will be available late enough in the draft, however, that I could see them making an exception. He's got fantastic quickness and ability, but his technique flat out sucks. Every once in a while he plays properly, and when he does, he makes pass blocking look pathetically easy. Unfortunately, he often overextends, gets his feet crossed, and ends up lunging for the pass rusher after he's been beaten (usually to the inside). I can't give him anything better than perhaps a 5th round grade. Risky prospect, but I can certainly see the appeal.
