Will Tyms see the field?

He was targeted twice, and made one catch.

I'll take a 50% completion rate on home run balls.

Bagging groceries? He's seen worse.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but this is a man we all should want to see succeed.

This has been a long time coming for Tyms, a 6-foot-3 speedster who didn’t play football until his senior year at Dillard High In Fort Lauderdale. His personal story is a tragic one, a story of great perseverance. The San Francisco Chronicle captured it in 2012: Physically abused by both parents, Tyms was shipped from group home to group home. He found stability with one foster family, but was kicked out after high school. He was living out of his 1994 Lexus for two months while working at McDonald’s.

I just hope this doesn't turn into a repeat of the Kendrell Thompkins pre-memorial TD reception ...

Happy with what he did, but lets not call him Randy Moss just yet.

I will definitely say I'm happy we have a guy like Tyms to run those routes instead of putting Slater into that role as we've done in recent history. I don't think he'll be a huge contributor in the box score, but I do think that he'll give the defense something to think about when he's on the field. His presence may be cause for the defense to play more cautiously if he can make a few more big plays to get noticed.
Who compared him to Randy Moss?

Plus, as early posts on this thread confirm, Tyms sucks because he did it in preseason against "guys that are now bagging groceries" (how moronic is that, as if guys cut from the NFL would actually be reduced to that type of employment), and as Vulger and Spazz claim, TYms is a Jimmy G. guy and, thus, Brady hates him. What pure, unadulterated BS.
Lol I forgot that theory by Felgy.

He didn't see the field, only the end zone.

yesterday showed me that what he did in preseason is legit. throw the ball up to the guy and more often than not he will make the rediculous catch and come down with it. we really havent had one of those players at the receiver position since moss.

not saying that he is moss before people over-react. but he is one of those guys you can throw a 50-50 ball up to

Florio: BELICHICK DISSES THE BROWNS

@jeffphowe: Belichick said Tyms is a "do-extra type of kid." Tyms arrived at Gillette at 6:30 a.m. his first day after his suspension.

kid is hungry and has a great work ethic. Couple that with his incredible athletic gifts, we might just have a gem on our hands. I've been cheering for him and will continue to. Idk how some people can't like this kid.

More on Tyms from BB:

"Tyms has really done a good job," Belichick added. "He’s come in and worked really hard. He’s one of the first guys here and last ones to leave. He’s diligent about his work and preparation, and in the time that he missed, as soon as that was over he came back and was right here at 6:30 in the morning ready to watch film, work out, get back into it. It’s kind of been like that since he returned a couple weeks ago -- the week prior to the Cincinnati game."

Belichick noted that Tyms' work ethic and attitude are positives for the team.

"He’s been a real hard-working, diligent, do-extra type of kid," Belichick said. "He's been good to be around. He brings a lot of good energy to the team, the position and his approach to the game.

"I like having him on the team."

Tyms is the only WR on this team who has the ability to make big plays by going up and getting the ball downfield. He probably should be kept around simply for this reason alone.

Dobson can but he'd commit a false start in the process.
