and most of the 6 would have to happen, and happen at close to high values. Could be, I think not.
You may be right, but I think that we could get $8M of cap savings by extending just Brady and McCourty.
For example, Brady has a salary of $14M and a roster bonus of $1M. A new contract might have a bonus of $24M over 3 years and a $2m salary. The $15M of cap would be replaced by $10M cap, or a savings of $5M. The rest of the contract, with 2020 and 2021 salaries, guarantees or future bonus payments wouldn't affect the 2019 cap.
McCourty has a salary of $9M and a bonus of 500K. A new contract might be replaced by a bonus of $10M over 2 years and scary of $1.5M. So, $9.5M of cap would be replaced by $6.5M of cap for a cap savings of $3M.
