Will Campbell Watch

Why the rush to make snap judgments after playing a few crappy teams early in the season?
Aren’t you the guy who started a thread calling Josh Simmons the steal of the draft before a single regular season snap.

Now people here are “rushing to judgment” a month into actual football?

You can’t make this stuff up…

And saying "Dart is very good" after one game.
Pot meet kettle.

Says the poster who wants us to think Thornton is an all pro now lmao yes you really can't make this stuff up...

If Campbell ends up being the best left tackle in football over the next 10 years, then he will likely be a steal at #4 overall.

Except you are making it up lol

He had an excellent game today.
He is not all pro yet either
They have played 4 games against bad or mediocre teams 3 at home.

Lets see how he does for an entire season.

Simmons is doing great by the way.

Great start, let's see the sustain. It's long as hell and extremely tiring.

It seems we found or LT for the future, and a LG as well.

But on Pass protection, which was indeed worrysome in the preseason, he seemed to completely switched gears. I can't remember a single time where a defensive player has beated him 1 on 1, Im pretty sure the only sack he allowed was a stunt by the D-line

Also of note that he has not commited that many fouls as well, compared to other player. Moses for example has more fouls.

I will say that Run blocking has not been stellar so far, as we lean much more on our right side for that. But, for a first year left side?

Solid A so far

Seriously and his post even sounds like he’s hoping for WC to fail when he plays against some tougher teams.

Beast. Knew he would be. He was in college. Tape don't lie.
Hopefully lesson learned by people making a big deal about his arms.
Those are people who were just mimicking some clueless media.

Show me where I called Thornton an All Pro?

Oh yeah, it’s another lie…

I just didn’t say he was a special teams player at most and likely to get cut like you.

Talk about being wrong… he has scored a TD in three straight games. Ouch, that’s got to burn.

I think it's just lazy analysis.
People talked about Skorinski and his short arms and subsequent move to OG, and guys just hoped on the "T-Rex" arms bus.
Completely disregarded the fact that he dominated in the best division in college football, has incredible feet and athleticism, and sounds cliche, but has the heart, desire and work ethic to be great.

And the goalpost moves.

When he looked good in the first preseason game, after you gushed about reports of Simmons in practice, you completely downplayed it, saying we need to see how he plays for an entire game that counts. Now we need to wait for an entire season. (And to the surprise of I'm sure no one, your next words are to once again praise Simmons)

Sam Bam in 20 years:

Yeah, Campbell had a solid career, blocking against linemen the majority of which weren't 1st team all pros.

Let's see how good of a speech he has in Canton tomorrow.

Simmons just opened up his 7th restaraunt, by the way.
