He's been that ever since he put up 100 yards on the Bills last year. All these people who think that BJGE was so great last year, yet they want to ignore that he quickly took his place back on the bench as soon as Morris and Jordan were healthy. BJGE also didn't take a single snap with the 1st team offense this pre-season. Yet, we're all supposed to be impressed that, for the 1st 24 hours of the cut-down, he seems to be on the team. Yet, even the most sane people, like MG, are saying that the likelihood of BJGE seeing the field is next to none unless there are two injuries at RB

People must also forget the 65 yards he managed to put up against that mighty 2008 Denver Bronco defense.

rofl, are people still putting in yes votes for BJGE? It's a little late to be making your fearless predictions...

Seriously, is there any need to mock anyone who is rooting for BJGE as some sort of moron (or idiot, or liar, if you prefer)?

Replace "BJGE" with "Maroney" and ask the same question. It will still be just as valid.

EDIT: It'll actually be more valid since Maroney is slated to start.

There you go. No, there isn't a need to mock them. There is a need to argue and debate with them on why they think that BJGE should make the team instead of a Maroney, Morris, or a Taylor. There is a need to wonder, aloud, why someone would think that BJGE could become a primary threat in our offense and Maroney cannot. As I said, people quickly forget the 65 yards he managed to put up last year against that oh so mighty Denver Bronco defense.

Then again, I'm not quite sure who you are referring to when you claim that people are mocking the Lawfirm fanatics.

I'd be willing to be a penny he's referring to me.. And, yes, there is plenty of reason to mock them because many of them are the same people who are beating their chests and DEMANDING that Maroney be cut or traded or some other stupid garbage..

Its not directed at the people who just simply voted yes and are glad the kid made the team.

Hoyer didn't blow the call. The blitz wasn't from the inside either. It was a CB blitz from Hoyer's backside. That's the pick-up of the RB. The LINE and Hoyer pick up the blitz from in front.

Which sack are you talking about?

I'm looking at the one that takes place at 7:39 in the first quarter. BJGE clearly engages the ILB, and I was wrong about the safety.

Tuck came inside on a stunt, in which case Orhnberger is at fault.

I think the bickering, arguing, mocking results from posters deciding the best way to tout 'their boy' is to trash the other.
I know I spend a lot of time arguing in this thread yesterday and I have no issue with BJGE but the supporters decided their best argument was to trash Maroney.
I feel the same as I did yesterday. I think BJGE is a good enough player to be on the roster, but I question whether a 5th RB is as necessary as the guy who turned out to be 54th would have been. (Although the roster is balanced out well it seems)
If Morris is not ready to go BJGE is a heartbeat from active. If Morris is ready to go, I'd still feel better using the spot elsewhere (ILB) but I'm happy for BJGE and wouldnt be afraid to have him on the field. (I wouldn't think we were strong at the position either though)

A debate on the topic would be nice, but that isn't what's been going on. A BJGE fan does not equal a Maroney hater.

I don't particularly want to call posters out by name, I was just hoping a bit of civility could be introduced.

I think that the VOCAL BJGE fans yesterday were exactly that, Maroney haters.
That is how this thread reached 99000 posts.

Yup, pretty much. BJGE making the roster is fine. Maroney making the roster is fine. Trying to claim that BJGE is better than Maroney and is going to take his spot is... an interesting theory. Saying that this is because Maroney sucks and has no heart and falls over everytime someone breathes on him because he dances and is made of glass... well that's just stupid.

I guess carrying a 259 pound LB into the end zone with you doesn't count for anything.

Does this mean VOCAL Maroney fans are BJGE haters who call people idiots?

And I guess none of the other running backs on this roster have never trucked or carried anybody. The only difference is that Lawfirm did it with style... to a third stringer. That's why the "bashers" don't get why everyone seems to think he's the next Barry Sanders.

DaBruinz is probably the only person on this thread who doesn't like BJGE. Andy and I are responsible for probably 75+% of the pro-maroney posts, and we both like BenJarvus and have gone to great lengths to make that clear. We just didn't think that he was better than the other 4 running backs, and didn't think we needed a fifth. So no... it doesn't mean that.

considering that some guy was trying to claim that he could tell BJGE was a rising star because of how much Belichick smiles at him... I dunno, at this point there is no justification for the BJGE-manlove that would surprise me.

Aye. Considering that this thread has boiled down to BJGE fanatics whining that they are getting made fun of, my guess is that deep down they know that he's the worst of the four running backs (and keep in mind that I think he's serviceable, meaning that he's a good option to step in when EVERYONE ELSE is injured) but are hoping that he isn't. But then again, I did come into this thread pretty late...

Wasn't that third stringer Clint Sintim? That dude is a MAJOR scrub...

Still, I like the youth of LoMo and Law Firm being on the team. It's good stuff.
We'll see if Law Firm is around (that is if Morris is out long enough) to get some serious snaps and do some damage.

Case in point.

I've spent countless hours, days, months, years defending Maroney, and I'll likely spend many many more, but now I'm part of "BJGE fanatics whining that they are getting made fun of", despite not saying a single word about BJGE.

Andy and BradyFTW, I think if you re-read the thread you may be surprised to see which "side" started the bashing of the other.

And that's my last post on it. No more whining.
