It would be very in line with the Eagles season to have them lose with Hurts throwing under 200 yards. That one is on Brown though... Also the ball came in with some heat. It isn't the most catchable pass.

Yes if a ball hits the WR in the hands he has to get it... but there are ways to make it easier on your WR. I don't think we criticize QBs enough for now throwing the most catchable passes.

It would be funny though, because all we have heard all year is how the Pats aren't actually good and just had an easy schedule. So for the Pats to then be the only team to handily win their playoff game this weekend, it would go against that narrative pretty harshly. And I would sooooooo love it.

My thought on the whole ''easy schedule'' is the pats blew most of those teams out by multiple touch downs. If the pats were that bad they'd struggle and the scores would be close. If the patriots were at the same level as those lousy teams

Why would you go for 1 there? Even if you get it, you're up 5 points, which means you lose to a TD with a failed XP or two field goals. You have to go for 2, which puts you up 6, meaning a TD with a failed XP or two field goals puts you into a tie and not a loss. Going for 1 was literally pointless.

My guess is there is no way Eagles play for a field goal so 2 field goals not a concern. If you get the 1 you force Eagles to go for 2 after TD where odds are 50/50/and if they fail you win it with a field goal.
If you get the 2 and Eagles get TD and 1 you still need a FG to win but if SF miss the 2 pt you can only tie with FG
