I know what you mean, but he wouldn’t even need to. Brown literally wants to be here.
Which Brown are you referring to and how do you know he "literally wants to be here"?

Add LBs to that.
We really need to improve the second level of our defense. We could easily use 2 new LBs.
Could use some reinforcement, but if the DL is stout then I think Spillane and Tavai would be able to hold up in general. But, of course, there's definitely room to improve.

Vrabel would straighten him out real quick.

I see this just like Randy Moss back in 2006. He was toxic and unproductive (for him) with the Raiders. He came to the Patriots and was the best WR in a single season and model player for a few seasons.

Brown is just miserable in a place where his talents are misused and he has no respect for the head coach. Rumors are that Brown's open disdain for Siriani mirrors a lot players' private disdain for him.

But the more Brown shoots his way out of town in Philly, the less the Pats will have to give up toget him. I think he can be had for no more than a second at this point. He continues to be a problem and his trade value goes down.

I can't remember the last time i saw a super bowl defending team that was still this talented in the playoffs with a high seed and record that i felt less concerned about.

It's easy to connect the dots.
He grew up a Pats fan.
He cried when we didn't draft him.
He is tight with Vrabel.

AJ Brown. Have you not seen the videos of him in his Edelman Pats jersey?? He grew up a Pat fan & wanted us to draft him. He also loves/played for Vrabel. Now, we have Maye…

This is common knowledge

How many animals died for that womans ridiculous coat?

I like Spillane, but we really could use 2 new starters beside him.
Tavai is a good 4th backer, but he's very far down the list for starting LBers in this league.

I'd take 1 for the team and join EA in that coat...just a nice guy like that.

Didn't get it but on that punt block someone on SF got a hell of a push up the middle.

he needs to redo that deal before that happens... cant see howie eating 20m for a 2 or a 3...
His contract is not really coded on Overthecap properly. It's really an option bonus, which can be traded to the new team. So the dead cap is not actually that bad at all. In reality, they will be incentivized to trade him because if they don't then they are on the hook to pay that option bonus themselves.

unreal that was... 25 points in the 4th... fugly
Completely unacceptable.
I'm surprised LaFluer still has a job today.

Not sure he can redo his deal for the Eagles. They already paid out a crapload in bonuses. He does have a $27.4 million bonus due in 2026. It will hurt the cap to trade him, but I think Howie Rosen would like to not pay that bonus. I think the only thing he might get Brown to redo is to push back when that bonus is paid out so that the Eagles can trade him after June 1st to not take a massive cap hit next year.

thank you for the clarification Ross

Yeah, I think the Eagles will not want to pay out that $27.4 million bonus. Not paying that will probably be more important to them than the cap hit.

Besides, this draft is supposed to be WR rich. The Eagles can draft another WR especially since Smith can be a good to great #1 WR while the rookie develops.

Lots of talk today about him potentially being gone.

@Ross12 just indicated that the deal isn't properly reported on otc, so, who knows at this point, what the damage would be... at least i dont know...

No problem, it's very hard to wrap your head around because OTC has it wrong and Spotrac has it "right" but not in very much written detail. So you have to kind of study it at length to grasp it. And of course, most contracts are not written this way. I don't fault anyone for misunderstanding it. I have to guess once he is acquired, NE would basically tear the deal up and re-write it more traditionally.
