Wickersham book discussion

McNally called himself "Deflator" exactly ONCE after an exhaustive search was done of his tweeting history...he tweeted that in May, 8 months BEFORE the preposterous, ignorant Goodelian frame-up took place.

Many have lied in Deflategate, but no one more so than NFL commissioner Roger Goodell

)

So Roger Goodell lied, a fact proven by the release of Tom Brady's testimony and a fact that shouldn't surprise anyone who began following the NFL before September 2014.

We have been here before. Remember: Less than a year ago, a law enforcement source told the Associated Press that a copy of the Ray Rice elevator video was mailed to the NFL. Goodell and the NFL denied ever receiving such a tape. Somebody was lying.

'

Thanks a LOT! I just read that LIARS article and got pissed about the unfairness of Deflategate all over again. 6 years of therapy out the window. I'm so mad I'm spitting bullets........

Bart Hubbuch lol. Now that name is a blast from the past. Wasn’t that the Post clown that was obsessed with this?

Edit: yup! I liked @Ian ’s response to this clown’s questions NY Post Writer Hubbuch Asks Five Questions on DeflateGate - Here Are Some Answers

Patricia wasn’t creating schemes behind belichicks back. The patriots had struggled with the Reid offense, and were consistently using light personnel more often.
That season they used the infamous 4 safety package throughout the season against teams that used that scheme.
They weren’t disagreeing about how to defend the run, Adams felt stopping the run should be a bigger priority and they should get out of the 4 safety defense.
I never liked that scheme, but using contrived writings like this to trash a good DC is silly.
Patricia was DC here 6 years and we went to 3 Sbs and won 2. They were 75-21 in the reg season and 11-4 in the post season. His defense, on average ranked 9 in scoring.

When did it become cool for fans to piss in the people who delivered success to the franchise?
Fans love to hate on the coaches. It’s easier to fall in love with players, I guess.

I’d rather people try to leave their emotions out of it and just follow the SB rings.

Why, did he eat your lunch? Lol

Patricia’s defense was swiss cheese when he was here. We won those two superbowls despite him because Tom Brady was at his peak and had to orchestrate a 25 point comeback. Is tub of lard Matt still trying to take credit for the Butler INT? LOL. The Eagles loss was the worst coaching effort in nfl history (against a CFL level quarterback who ended up becoming a career back up) all because his “ego” was hurt. He then got hired in Detroit where he destroyed what any credibility the lions had left by destroying the locker room, drafting horrifically, and acting like an arrogant jerk in every press conference. every person in Detroit hated his guts to the point of Stafford liking the Twitter post of him fired, and Golliday stating he would never play again for a Patricia coached team. Don’t worry, his buddy Bill threw him a life raft and took him back. The only job he could probably get in the nfl.

Patricia was the king of the bend and break defense. Play several yards off the WR in coverage, his edge rushers focus on stopping the run instead of sacking the QB, and linebackers act as “disguises” in pass rush to the QB allowing tight ends to have record days over the middle. Patricia made Joe Flacco look like Joe Montana. Patricia was horrible at bringing out the true potential of defensive players. Bill Belichick was the greatest young coach in nfl history and a defensive wizard in his younger days. The giants players loved him and respected him. Matt P wasn’t anywhere near close to that and Fat Spaghettios Matt didn’t earn any respect. Flores was 10x better of a D coordinator, and much more likeable

Lets' not forget the absolute waste of talent in the 2015 AFCCG in Denver playing conservative early where Manning took them down the field for two straight TD's. He finally realized what any moron knew that coming after Manning in the 2nd half was the way to go.

Forgot about that. Manning with two touchdowns to that bum Te over the middle. And this was a washed up version of Manning that Matty P allow to beat us

brady and gronk still nearly saved the day. Bradys touchdown to gronk with 4 defenders draped over him was the greatest play I have seen. Two hall of fame players at their peaks nearly still won that for us

It was just a shame they had: pro bowler Chandler Jones, All Pro Jamie Collins, HT, Akiem Hicks, pro bowler Malcom Butler and McCourty, yet they played Manning like he was Russell Wilson with their "rush him/don't rush him" nonsense.

Yes let’s blame 2 point loss on a defense that allowed 20 points (7 of which happened on a drive started at the NE 16) , 145 passing yards, 30-99 rushing and 6/17 3rd down while the offense was completing less than 50% of their passes, threw 2 picks one leading directly to a td, allowed 4 sacks and scored 18 points.
Remarkable.

Patriots O had to face a historically great Denver defense which had about 6-7 Pro Bowl Players and a couple future NFL Hall of famers on it . A bit of an unfair comparison? That same D absolutely destroyed the NFL MVP a week later.

Denver's O was led by a Peyton Manning who was physically washed up to the point of Brock Osweiller nearly replacing him

So the offense wasn’t supposed to help win the game?
20-18 with 2 turnovers and one on your own 16 AND, which I didn’t mention before, the defense got a takeaway and handed the offense the ball on the Denver 22 leading to a TD is not a defense loss.

To recap:
The defense allowed a TD on a drive that started at +16 and gave the offense a TD after a takeaway at the +22.
So that 7 allowed that’s more on the offense and 7 scored that more on the defense and the rest of the day the defense only allowed 13 and the offense scored a total of 11.
That’s by anyone with an open mind an offense heavy blame loss.

But at least you agree it was the offenses fault and are down to rationalizing it with excuses.

They had no business scoring 20 points.

And let's ignore all the injuries the Pats had on offense and what D they were going up against. Phillips came after Brady and forced TO's. Fatt Matt sat back and let Manning operate. That was the difference.

They were handed 7 by the offense.
Hoe did they sit back and let manning operate when he had 145 passing yards and 3 sacks? 8 out of 14 drives were for 5 or less yards.
Your memory isn’t very good.

You must've missed the back breaking 3rd down conservation grabs to move the offense that led to points. Also, Broncos had more turnovers and one that that led to points. That was the difference.

Oh and let's not forget CJ Anderson breaking loose once again to ice the game.

My memory is fine. You may want to re-watch the game.

You can find plays on either side of the ball in any game.
Your standard appears to be the defense has to never allow a positive play while the offense can suck.

The defense allowed 20, 7 of which was mostly the offenses fault. It also handed the offense 7, so for the day they allowed a net of 6
The offense scored 18, 7 of which was handed to it by the D and it gave away 7 so it netted 4.

The defense is responsible for net of allowing 6 and the offense is responsible for net of scoring 4 and you blame the defense because Denver converted a below average rate in 3rd down.

I have no clue what you are talking about with turnovers, the offense turned it over twice, one being at the +16 and the defense had 1 takeaway that led directly to a score.

I can‘t imagine Bill choosing Patricia over Ernie Adams. Ernie was done with the Pats, like Dante.

Roget Goodell was, is and always will be ———— trash.

They had no business scoring 20 points.
They scored 23 the week before against Pittsburgh, and 24 in the SB against Carolina.
In 10 other games manning started and finished they score more than 20, 8 times and 19 and 16 the other 2.
Had Brady not thrown a pick at his own 16 they would have held them to their lowest point total of the season.
