People always complain about the Patriots making the Super Bowl and how they make the league boring. I don't think it's true. All sports league need villains to make it entertaining, and the Patriots play the "villain" role pretty well. People hate them, they would love to see them lose, especially Tom Brady. Without a villain in the Super Bowl the game would be uninteresting. For example, Super Bowl 50, arguably the most uninteresting Super Bowl in recent history, featuring Peyton "I'm gonna drink a lot of Budweiser tonight" Manning, and Cam Newton. I guess some people hated Newton for his celebration antics but the game was overall boring because there isn't anyone the general public hates. Even Super Bowl 48 was infinitely more interesting despite the blowout because of Sherman's post-game outburst in NFCCG.
