Rivers might suck, but he's not as bad as Eli Manning, plus they essentially got a pick that became the best defensive player in the NFL the following year. The Chargers did OK. Big Ben is the best QB in that draft but at the time he was a distant third.

Rivers does indeed suck, but I have to disagree with the Eli Manning part of your post. Manning is hardly lighting it up, but I'd take him over Rivers any day. Rivers is just mind-numbingly awful.
