Who has more upside, Mac Jones or Jordan Love

Still 3 wins behind Scott Zolak and 7 behind Hugh Millen for his career. Only 1 behind Tommy Hodson and 2 behind Tom Ramsey. He did look good against the Bengals in the first preseason game though.

This board would of brought the pitchforks for both BB and Love after his first training camp.

He was not good at camp the first two years and people were wondering if they would need to draft a different heir to Rodgers.

With that said he has been able to sit behind Rodgers for three seasons and learn how to be a pro.

Same reason I am interested in seeing how Trask does down in Tampa after learning from the greatest for two seasons.

I say Jordan Love. He has a rocket for an arm extremely mobile, big and strong. He looked very good last night. He has a chance to be this year's Jaylen Hurts.

Pats could have had him in 2020 draft. They had 24th pick and he went 26th. BB (the genius) opted to trade the 24th pick for the 37th and a third rounder. They picked Duggar, who is a good player...BUT not a franchise altering pick like Love could have been.

If they had picked Love, they would not have had to pick Jones in 21 and could have chosen Jalen Phillips or Darisaw.

Its still early, but if you look at them on tape and their physical attributes...Love has a much greater chance to be a true franchise QB.

So you base this evaluation on one meaningless preseason game? Or is this based on practices too?

Hurts’ development hasn’t been all that rapid for the people who have been following him since his senior year in high school or since he arrived at Alabama.

people forget that before last season there were questions if the Eagles should move on....

Point 1: If a 2020 redraft took place today Dugger and Uche would both go in the 1st, probably ahead of Love, who has shown no evidence that he can be a franchise QB, despite that totally epic performance last night, the likes of which we haven’t seen around these parts in the preseason since Stiddy and before him Bishop.

Point 2: Love will be lucky if he plays as well this year as Mac did his rookie year.

Point 3: YOU SUCK. Many of us here dream of the day when you finally find that tall cliff or short pier, so we will no longer have to risk losing brain cells due to exposure to your ****ty posts.

Oh please, you would have been insufferable if the Pats had picked Jordan Love and he did nothing worthwhile in his first three seasons.
All fans do this, but honestly, I'd rather have the luxury of letting a guy develop on the bench for a bit than tossing him out there early. QB is such a mental game and so many get confidance issues and bad habits. Peyton Manning as great as he was, got rushed out on a ****ty Colts team, led the league in INT's and then even when he was amazing always had a higher uptick in interceptions compared to his peers.

There were? I don’t remember that, honestly. I didn’t think so. He had improved every year at college and really started to show progress when he transferred to Oklahoma and learned from Riley. Great move for Hurts. I actually wanted the Pats to draft him when he came out. His attitude, improvement in the pocket, and work ethic made him seem like a no-brainer pick for the Pats.

We have yet to see the 2023 version of the Joker.

Noticed him laughing it up the other night down at his end of the bench.

People forget the rumors the Packers were freaking out behind the scenes about Jordan Love not showing much in practice and preseason.

But you really don’t even need those rumors to validate why the Packers refused to move on from Rodgers for 3 years when Aaron wanted to leave. That says all you need to know.

He won at Bama. He won at Okie. He took his club to the Super Bowl.

Game 1 should be interesting.

Have to remember.. Mac was selected for a number of reasons.. the relationship with Saban, the organization wanted led A QB who could run the Brady offense.

The fact op hasn’t said a word since the start of the thread tells you that he is definitely sitting at his desk with a sly smirk and weird erection over the reactions to his trolling.

The way the game is these days, teams rarely have the luxury of letting a QB sit for 2 or 3 years and when they do he loses a lot of his value.

Jordan Love might turn out to be the superior player but who knows? There isn’t anything to go on. It’s a senseless question until after this season.

Hard to complain about not taking an unproven quarterback when you got a pretty good starting safety out of it.

In the post Brady era I don’t think the fans or team would have a lot of patience with a raw prospect like Love was.

Case in point fans already lost patience with Mac Jones who was viewed as pro ready.

Yep I heard that too.

And why does Hurts squat so damn low for the snap in shotgun?

The Packers refused to move on from Favre for 3 years before installing Rogers as their #1 QB. That decision worked out well and Rogers went on to be the NFL MVP.

No idea what your "that is all you need to know" comment means. It sounds like you don't know what you are talking about.
