It will be Vrabel with Brian Daboll as OC.

Can not blame Kraft for not wanting to hire first time HC

Brian Flores. He got shafted twice by the Miami gig, once when he didn’t accede to Ross’s desire to tank and the second time by the league in the ensuing kerfluffle. Apart from that his coaching job in Miami was successful, as far as the product on the field.

I’d be fine with him coming in as DC under Vrabel, but that would just be a lateral move so not a sure thing. Maybe Kraft could woo him with a contract provision giving him the HC job following Vrabel?

I doubt it happens but I am really intrigued by Todd Monken. I read that Vrabels OC could be Josh McD or Tommy Rees
I like McDaniel
Tommy Rees is also interesting

Since the separate Vrabel thread has gone to hell, I thought I’d post this here. From earlier this week, a nice reminder of what Vrabel is looking for. Jets interview Mike Vrabel for head-coaching job, to talk to Rex Ryan on Tuesday: Source
“There’s got to be clear communication with ownership, so that we understand as coaches what the expectations are,” Vrabel said. “That’s so we can explain to them what’s reasonable, what we can do, what we probably can do and what we’re going to try to do — or die trying. I want to have a structure in place that people see the game the same way I do from an X’s and O’s standpoint, from a personnel standpoint, with team-building. We would hopefully have that alignment, which is critical. And I would like to be able to say that there’s a quarterback that you feel like you can win with — or that there’s a path to find the one that you can win with.”

Does Vrabel have a solid OC recommendation . We need an offensive mastermind who can build on the West Coast concepts and help maye take the next leap.

I don't want Josh Mcd

I want Vrabel because I feel like he is the most plugged in and will make the biggest difference to bring change to the front office and coaching ranks. I dont think he’s gonna come in and immediately start competing for Super Bowls but I feel like he can put the organization on the right track and be respectable in a few years. I need someone else coming in and shopping for the groceries too. I have no faith in Wolf.
Correct. Let's say it's Vrabel. Things aren't going to change unless we get a legit experienced GM who knows how to acquire talent and build team rosters.

If we end up with GM Dimitroff and HC Vrabel. Those guys have proven some stuff before, I'd feel more optimistic about our chances then. Also we would be scooping the Jets for both, so that's just a side bonus!

I’ll say this. I don’t know if Vrabel is going to create the next dynasty, I don’t know if he can get us to a SB. But I am very confident at the least he can get us to respectability, and create a culture where we aren’t an embarrassment.
If he’s not the cus h to lead us back, he is at least the coach to lead us to a place where the next guy can.
Thats a big improvement from where we are
Yes. Agree. Plus the fact he’s had a shot and hopefully, like Bill learned what he did wrong the first time, and will improve the second go around. The only thing I wonder about, didn’t he take issue with Robert ? Or Robert take issue with him pertaining to something he said derogatory about the organization? Either before or after his way out ?

I WANT Ben Johnson and all he brings with his Offensive Philosophy, BUT I think this TEAM Needs a Mike Vrabel. Someone to come in and can get to work right away, quickly establish a strong culture and has a network of coaches to call upon. Vrabel immediately rights the ship, but I hope he brings an OC with a Modern Bag of goodies.

first one is ray lewis killed a guy the second: josh mcdaniels-something-all points bulletin?

The only positive to McDaniels is he's never leaving for a head coaching job again, the negatives are his offense seems outdated and is too complicated for many young wide receivers to grasp and has only been operated at a high level by Tom Brady.

Ben Johnson if he’s calling the plays. That being said, I’d be happy with vrabel or Flores if it came down to it.

I want Ben Johnson because I want an offensive minded HC to pair with Maye but I think it will end up being Vrabel because I think the Kraft are now wary to hire a rookie HC.

I agree.
When he bought the team he had Parcells.
He then hired BB and Carroll who were all experienced retreads and all were great coaches
He goes out on a limb and hires a rookie HC and it is a disaster
I don’t think he will go down the path this time even though BJ is a far superior candidate
I just think he is snake bit
Kraft is also all about optics with fans.
If He passed on Vrabel a fan favorite and he went to the Jets and kicked our butts twice a year.
His ego and legacy would take a beating
If Vrabel wants it.I truthfully believe it’s his

Daboll did not sound like his job was in jeopardy in his presser Sunday
But we will know for sure today if he is available

Agreed, no McD, what has he done outside of having Brady?
