Looks like Brown won’t be back in his previous role.
Any rumors of who we are interviewing?

Wes Welker

Would love Chad O’Shea
It would not be a promotion. So long shot

Loved Troy Brown as a player, not so much as a WR Coach. Granted, he hasn't exactly been given stellar talent to work with, but I just don't see him as being good at it. At best, have him work strictly with KR's and PR's, but nothing more. In addition to obviously significantly better talent at WR (and other positions on offense), a serious upgrade at WR coach is needed as well.

What I wouldn't mind seeing is the Pats bringing in Wes Welker for the role...

WR Coach and tack on something like Passing Game Specialist/Coordinator ... be a step up from his current position...

It is great that we want build a coaching staff that works well for the fans.

I want whoever the OC can get than will work well with his other coaches.

Wes did not leave Patriots on great terms. Why woukd he want to leave Dolphins as WR coach with Hill and Waddle?

Plus Wes was saying that he appreciates that McDaniel records coaching audio and sends it to Wes to learn.

Which Wes said he’s never seen anyone ever that and it’s been incredibly helpful to become a better coach.
So id bet he’s not leaving Miami Beach til he’s looking at OC or HC somewhere.
Unless Kraft pays him a ton.

Marv Harrison Jr.

So what did we have under Belichick ... coaches or caretakers?

Wes can't leave for the same position if he's still under contract unless they allow him to leave. However, they can't block him unless he's being interviewed for a coordinator position.

This is why Mayo turned down the DC position last year so he'd have flexibility in the event Bill was still the HC.
