After watching this i don't know how Conley doesn't make it.

after seeing that, i think he's practice squad level all day long... no way he's making the 53

I think Chism will be on the practice squad. Just too many receivers in the receiving room, even if Diggs starts on the PUP list.

If he doesn’t ( show up in shape and motivated) he’s a moron. He has to know that Vrabel isn’t screwing around, and he has a ton of money to lose if they let him go. He’s certainly not going to get another deal like that anytime soon.
I'll be shocked if he isn't locked and loaded.

Who is this Ian Iarison? Or, why does Lan Larison not get to have his name capitalized when all the others do?

I was sold on Ian, or Lan, even before I saw this report. After watching it I think he’s likely a lock. He’d never make it to PS. It wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up being our #1 returner as well as an outstanding gunner on ST. And very possibly RB3. He might make Mondre expendable.

Welcome to the team Jules!

great video,ty for sharing

Larison. AFAIK, there's still only 4 RBs in the room, right?

I see Dipree taking over for Bell.

Outside of that, I can't give 50%+ better chance on any of them. Do I think a Chism or Conley have a good chance to make the team? Yeah, but that's like, better than 0% chance.
I could see Dippre making it as the true TE3, and Bell being more of an ST guy first and very situational offensive piece second. So both “make it” but Bell is playing mostly special teams whereas Dippre actually sees the field on offense with some regularity.

Bell over Lampe?

I see a lot of opportunity for UFDA's this year - and am pulling for the return of a FB position.

But I'm also mindful that those same opportunities for UFDAs may also be taken up by signing cuts from other teams, as that's the often forgotten third phase of the offseason.

There's very often some "veteran" talent that becomes available once roster cuts start and the Patriots have long taken advantage of that and I expect they will again this offseason.

I also expect that there will be a "surprise" cut for the Patriots during camp that will send a message but also give a hard working UFDA a chance.

There's no room in the poll options for my answer, which is that none of them is better than 50/50 but the odds on one of them making it are better than 50/50.

Looks like the 3.8% that voted for Cole Birdow are unlikely to be correct.

That implies Vrabel did something similar with Chism. I’m already expecting Larison to make the roster. Wondering if this implies Chism is also a good bet? Would he make it through to the PS or would some other team poach him first?

Why in the world would you draft Minor instead of Larison? Risky move if you really wanted Larison.
Minor will be gone in the first wave of cuts.

Would any of us have drafted either of these two instead of our favorite UDFA's or instead of Vrabel's top UDFA choices?

Minor might be a Practice Team hope with the idea of developing him in 2026. Drafting Minor is simply strange, basically saying to other teams that Vrabel can sign whoever he wants. He has no need to use a draft choice.

You are absolutely right. There isn’t an undrafted free agent in NFL history who has a >90% chance of making the roster before he set foot on the field, let alone one team having 3-4 of them. For some reason, undrafted free agents get romanticized greater than mid round draft picks who were much more highly rated than them. Remember, as much as the pats wanted these guys, they wanted a long snapper and Kobe minor more
Vrabel clearly wanted Minor more than any of the UDFA's, who other teams might easily taken a chance and drafted in the 7th.

Could it be contract related?

Can a UDFA get more than a draft pick?

Maybe for cap reasons and precedent you don’t want to overpay a late draft pick.

Of course, it was suggested that the reason they drafted Ashby was to avoid a bidding war.

Vrabel didn't CLEARLY want Larison more than Bryant or Minor.
=====
I agree that among the UNDRAFTED, Vrabel clearly wanted Larison.
I still don't understand what happens in the "7th round vs. UDFA" decisions.
