Which rookie do you think will have the biggest impact on the SECOND half of the 2015 season? And for the purposes of a less predictable and more interesting conversation I'm going to leave Malcom Brown out of the poll.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say Jordan Richards. I think he's smart enough to understand the playbook quickly which is a major factor in playing time for rookies. Communication is key for safeties, but I believe that sharing that position with McCourty will reduce the pressure on him for that responsibility.

I also believe that BB had a plan when he drafted him (crazy thought, I know). I think he believes Richards complements DMC and sees them playing together very well, otherwise he wouldn't have spent a 2nd rounder on him. I have more hope for this kid than I did Tavon Wilson.

Where is Chris Harper?

While I'm a big fan of Flowers, I don't think he makes a huge impact this year as probably 4th on the DE depth chart.

I'm going with Jackson because he has the easiest path to making an impact by becoming a starter. Basically the same reasoning that made Stork the answer last year.

Where is Chris Harper?

Thought about including him but didn't think it was worth it. Barring injury, he has an extremely small chance to see enough snaps to consider him "impactful". I can't see him getting snaps over Edelman, Lafell, Amendola, Gronk, Chandler, Dobson, 3rd down back, etc.

Well, we already know that Lafell is going to miss 6 games so there will be snaps to be had.. And the Patriots used him for punt returns in the pre-season, which would help limit the exposure of Edelman and Amendola to injury..

I think Jackson will be a guy who will make an impact from day one, not just later on in the year.

Put harper in the conversation, what if he catches 500 yards?

Yeah but Lafell will be back by then... I did specify by saying second half of the year. But yeah I'll throw Harper on the list.

Edit: If it's even possible to update the list? Anyone know if I can do it?

I think we drafted at least three really, really solid players at positions that don't get much spotlight.

Trae Jackson will be the unsexy, workhorse from day one that should win this award.

Malcom Brown will be an important piece to the DL position and play 70% or more of snaps. Given the type of DT he is, he won't make the plays that you hear about on TV but keen fans will appreciate him.

Jordan Richards looks to make heads up plays against the run and maybe a few nice ones in pass coverage.

If Darryl Roberts were healthy I'd include him, too. Next year!

Where is Chris Harper?
Harper is going to have a real hard time getting on the 46 man roster. He is going to be behind Edelman and Amendola, and he is not an X-WR so I do not think he has much impact on Dobson.

I see Harper as a player who will likely take over for Amendola in 2016 or 2017 depending on how he develops.
