Section 317 in my Wilfork jersey and Pats hard hat.

I should be at the game too (no sure of seats yet). I was debating whether or not to wear my jersey, but if you are I guess I am too!

At home with my (also a Pats fan) wife - thank God it'll be on my new 46" LCD in HD as opposed to the end of last year when it was on my 1989 26" TV.

What kind did you end up getting and are you coming out for game this year ?

I ended up with a Sony 46" LCD; I'm happy with it, I occasionally with I'd gotten a bigger one but I'm fairly close to the TV so 46" is big enough. I'm happy with the LCD as I have no reflection from lighting. I do get occasional blurring on very fast action pass plays - not sure if this is an LCD thing or a DirecTV thing but it's not bad enough to irritate me.

No, I don't think we're coming out for a game - we considered it but with a lot of stuff going on we don't seem to be headed in that direction.

I'm thinking Sony as well . I have a 27 Sony right now but I always justify putting it off because I have seasons and go to a couple of aways as well . Last year I only had to watch them on TV 7 times (including playoffs) . What should I expect to spend and are prices still falling ?

On my 32" "piece of crap" TV Sunday at around 6 on DVR.

I understand the fun of pissing contests but I think too much is made out of TVs and graphics. I usually play my video games on the 32", with good cables and surround sound, etc. Yesterday I played super mario 3 on my friend's NES on a 13" TV. Not once did I think "man, I wish this TV was bigger" or "these 8 bit graphics are ruining my fun." I could watch a football game on my grandmother's old black & white TV and be just fine. Atmosphere is much more important to me than picture quality.

Always at home, always on HD, all games are recorded on the DVR (two kids under 3, can't afford to take the chance of missing any plays).

I usually don't start watching until an hour after the game starts (worst hour of the week, no tv, no radio, no internet). Then I can watch the entire game with no commercials.

Setting the DVR has become part of the weekly ritual....

Football is here... Football is here... Football is here... Football is here...

Hey Tom Brady's Goat - HD will change your life.

At a friends', watching with Pats FOTY 'Zip' at his Patriots & Bruschi shrine. Great fans, great real time analysis. Zip has his DVR synched up so all can listen to Gil & Gino while watching the big screen.

Grizzafted do you mind telling me what is the name of the Pats/Sox bar in NYC? I'm in NJ not far from the city. I lived in NYC for years and never had a bar like that to go to. That sounds like a great place to know about.

Thanks!

Sure, it's in the East Village. It's called Professor Tom's and it's on 2nd Ave between 14th and 13th. Places like that gotta lay low so they don't get burned down. It's a little slice of the north. Bartender's great, good food, Pats games on the big screen... See ya there!

Yeah, it depends on your situation of course. For me in California, every game is a TV game so I'm happy to have upgraded.

As I mentioned on a PUB thread, I got mine from www.onecall.com - great prices, service, no tax, etc. And they're an authorized dealer for most brands including Sony.

Via the internet, but not live. We foreigners can stream games via Yahoo and can watch them live if they aren't on cable.

I hate games at the Bar. I need to hear the announcer of the game or its hard for me to watch. To many other distarctions also. At home on my beautiful flat screen, my favorite place.

From the Meadowlands. Probably crappy seats, but hey. Second opening day I've gotten to in a row.

I will be watching on my computer using sopcast and hope its streamed. Don't know of a Pats bar here yet but since its the home town of LeKevin maybe soon.

Hey, SoCal Bong! Thanks for that link! I'd never noticed it before, and was happy to see that Austin has a meet-up place. I've looked into it and hopefully will be watching with a group (albeit small) this Sunday here in the great city of Austin, TX.

I'm hosting our "Thank God Real Football Is Finally Back" party this year.....Set up in front of my 52" Sony

I'll be back home in Texas visiting family, were I doubt the game will be showing... I'll be keeping a eye on it from my cell phone and the computer though... Good Luck Pats!! Hopefully it will be shown on NFL Replay...
