When the patriots suck I will be researching the draft in October...

I was just thinking how the Patriots success has helped me with my inner demons. Once I start researching the draft it can become all encompassing, scouting reports, podcasts, NFL Network, ESPN, PatsFans.com, etc.

With the Patriots always in the hunt I don't really start until the Christmas break (bored at home, need some dad time, etc.). Also I spend very little time on the top end players because the Patriots are generally picking in the 25-30 range.

If the Patriots really sucked I would start my process in October with dire consequences. Ignoring kids, not focused at work, sneaking off to the home office...

So thank you Patriots, your extended run of dominance has saved me from myself and more or less made me a better human being.

As long as the Pats' season isn't over, then I really don't get into draft mode yet.

I hope I don't have to get into draft mode for another 3 weeks.

It can get worse than that. Dolphins fans are already on to the 2020 draft.

Walter football had us picking 4th overall in 2020 and taking Herbert.

They have tua and Fromm going 1 and 2.

Obviously they think Brady is retiring this offseason.

Ideally we should win the Super Bowl next year and then tank the 2020 season. With the first pick in the 2021 draft, we take Lawrence from Clemson.
