What was your toughest Patriots loss to take?

Colts - Patriots 2006.

When it comes to losing the 2007 Super Bowl, the Patriots were beaten by a team with a better strategy that executed it to perfection.

In 2006, the game was given away with a combination of horrific reffing and horrific decision making.

I guess it has been 2 months since someone started this exact same thread, so someone else had to start a new one...

Stupid question. Still troubled by the undefeated season’s SB loss. Awesome Mankins decided to have one of his few mediocre games. And that goddamn running back Larry Maroney was brought down repeatedly by arm tackles. Freakin ****y.

The Giants were selling out with pass rush and were VERY vulnerable to being gashed by the run game. Didn’t happen.

Colts in 06 as well even over the undefeated season, why? Because the Pats had the Colts on the ropes and they would have easily beaten the Bears in the Super Bowl. The undefeated season they looked exhausted at the end. The loss while devastating didn't exactly shock me. Also the fact that they would have to beat the Giants twice within a few games is a big ask. Tom Coughlin wasn't a bum @$$ coach.

I agree on the loss, but Mankins played that game with a torn ACL. Toughest player to play for the Patriots since Hannah.

Super Bowl XLII

So close to perfection, than that…

SB42. I was enraged the entire game after the first Pats drive. First we had Brady's boot, Matt Walsh, Bill throwing everyone off by wearing a red hoodie, multiple dropped INT's on the first drive alone, the Pierre Woods fumble recovery that was awarded to the Giants, Bill not challenging it, another fumble not recovered after strip sacking Manning and going for it 4th and 13 only to chuck it up in the end zone. I knew that play was DOA when I think Brady pump faked twice. Then we have dropped INT's on the final drive leading to the in the grasp non call. David Tyree and the horrible call by Joe Buck who's been roasted for since. At that point, I seriously considered breaking my tv. To top it off there was the zero blitz.

Eagles loss still bothers me. I've successfully pushed 42 from my brain. I'll never forgive BB for handing Philly their 1st SB.

But wait, it gets worse. That 'same thread' from 2 months ago? Created by the same (ahem) 'member'
Damn I miss the Practice Squad

OT: I can see the Practice Squad on desktop but on mobile I get an error... weird.

obviously we all remember the Samuel dropped interception, but it seems many have forgotten about Meriweather dropping an interception two plays after the ****ing helmet catch. both tough plays but I don’t know how at least one of them didn’t hold onto the ball
