What to expect in the Post-Brady era.

What to expect?
Some ups. Some downs.
Some good weeks. Some bad weeks.
Eventually, a return to the SB.
But, we will have to be patient.

I'll be fine with the Post-Brady era as soon as Sanu, McCourty and Slater are gone.

Why on earth would you want MCcourty and Slater gone ? This doesn't make any sense .

2 most annoying speech givers in the history of Boston sports. Slater post-game and McCourty pre-game. Simply obnoxious.

As for Sanu...he was slow when he came into the league. He is now 30. The math isn't difficult.

Wow, someone needs their blankey. McCourty and Slater are two of the most beloved Patriots ever. Did you hate Brady’s speeches too ?

I'm expecting anywhere from 5-11 to 7-9 in the first year without Brady.

If Stidham can step up and show growth this year that will be a good sign.

Otherwise the Pats seriously need to invest in QB in next year's draft.

I believe BB wants to see what Stidham has to show before drafting QB talent.

Besides we didn't have a super high pick this year and it's obvious BB didn't love Jordan Love.

MCcourty and Slater are loved by nearly everyone, they are great Patriot players , talking about their post game speeches is ridiculous. Their speeches mirror BB and what he wants them to say and what he doesn't . Most patriot players are more guarded in their post game speeches, I don't agree with your assessment of them at all.

This year the team will be a running team first, heavy dose of Sony, and play smart savvy D, just like 01. I can see them going 11-5 05 5-11. Obviously I hope it's the first, it should be interesting to see. I am willing to give Stidham the benefit of the doubt and actually can see him doing better than average. However we still need at least 2 more play makers on O, not sure where we will get them from though !

To answer the question in the title: Expect pain. Lots of pain. And anguish. And despair. And frustration. And despondency. And anger. And bitterness. And nostalgia.
And that’ll just be from reading the GDT.

That’s a pretty random ass group to put out there. McCourty is a good player and he and Slater have been the team leaders for years.

Getting beat twice a year by the Bills.

I see them pulling 9 wins. Perhaps even better.

Best defense in the league earns you some wins. GOAT coach earns you a few more. Making sure you have a game managing qb who doesn't make mistakes earns you the rest.

I also expect him to take a flier on someone like Newton or even Winston if they can manipulate cap room a bit. (I don't follow their cap as close as many do here, though). Or maybe Flacco. Or maybe I'm crazy

Some people are going to be surprised when we go 11-5 and make the playoffs.

And some people will be surprised when they see normally calm King BB make faces, throw his hands in the air, and spike the tablet, after Stidham makes one stupid mistake after another.

That’s what Jets thought after Namath left.

On the bigger picture I still expect The Pats to be a successful organization. This year might be quiet different, something like a big transformation after Brady's departure.
Are we a contender right now? Rather not but we are still a fighting team with the greatest coach ever. My attitude this season is to have fun with every play, game and see what happens next. Like I said this season would be totally different but I believe every team in the entire league has to be careful playing with us. We are still winning organisation.

5-11. Stidham loses his confidence waiting for an open receiver to emerge. Hoyer is put in. Gets hurt. Same issue. Stidham goes back in and turns into Tony Eason playing the Bears in the SB.

Next year we’ll double dip at WR.

N’Keal Harry will improve, but not enough.

On a positive note, the Dane will come in and play great at OG for an injuried player.

This team with Terry McLaurin and Denzel Sims? 9-7. Maybe only .500.

One thing we're all going to have to start living with is the passing of the Patriots mystique. Teams are not going to be as intimidated of the Patriots as they used to be, and they're not going to be making any more colossal self-inflicted mistakes.

Gone are the glory days of the butt fumble and the fake punt.

With Belichick here so is much of the mystique and aura imo.

And the buttfumble will never go away
