Seriously, is there another team in the NFL that could go through what the Patriots have gone through:

Welker and Woodhead exodus
- A. Hern circus
- Rookie receivers and all their headaches
- Wilfork gone
- Kelly down
- Our best offensive weapon out week-after-week but is reportedly dominating practices

And that's before all the injuries that piled up today . . .

AND STILL BE 5-1?

I don't know if there is another team out there that could do it. There are teams in the league that are in far better shape than the Patriots who cannot do what this team is doing. They've won ugly. Even in a loss, they were in the game ALL game against Cincy last week and could have pulled that one off. And why isn't the world talking about the defense at this point? The Saints had more three-and-outs in this game than all of their other game combined (I'm sure even without looking at the numbers). This team is gritty and gritty is what won those three SB's.

I know I know, I posted something similar in the postgame thread, but who's going to begrudge me a little self-indulgence after such a dramatic win. We had people declaring Brady D.O.A. (I came close myself), and then he pulls that rabbit out of his hat. Who knew?

None. This was game won under extreme conditions in lack of personnel. TB and BB are a special combo that come around very rarely.

We have watched BB and that staff completely render the best player on each offense pretty null-and-void in three consecutive weeks (Jones, Green, Graham). Graham was held with 0 catches today. Colston had one reception. AJ Green was inconsistent and Jones made noise on one drive. C'mon. People need to start recognizing this defense. Stop complaining about the offense for a second (though warranted to some degree), and recognize the season that this defense is quietly putting together.

Green Bay is about to find out how really good Aaron Rodgers is with half his starting offense out for a while
