What is BB's single biggest mistake as Patriot's Head Coach/GM?

That's false. BB asked Rhebein to work him out because they were curious if there was more to his benchings than just Carr feeling pressure to play Drew Henson as the local good story guy.

If BB didn't like Brady, he wouldn't have sent Rhebein to work out Rattay and Brady. You people just keep lying and making things up over and over.

Why didn't BB develop other HOFers? Umm, he did?

Law, Seymour, Wilfork, Gronk, Edelman, Slater

That's 6 names where BB had a huge impact on a career. Not sure if Logan Mankins will make the HOF or Welker, but that's 2 more. Do you people come of out comas after chunks of time and just run your mouth incessantly hoping someone will believe your lies?

Rodney Harrison credits BB with saving the end of his career. Rodney was a better player in NE than in SD.

Meet Tom Brady's first believer

Belichick, upon taking over in New England in 2000, asked him to coach his quarterbacks, but Rehbein was against uprooting his daughters one more time. Pam sat him down and said, "Do something for your career for once." So he did. If nothing else, Rehbein figured the Patriots' quarterback, Drew Bledsoe, might play effectively enough to help Rehbein become somebody's offensive coordinator.

But before Rehbein worked with Bledsoe, Belichick had him evaluate a couple of draft-eligible college kids who might develop into reliable backups: Tim Rattay of Louisiana Tech and Tom Brady of Michigan. On his trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan, Rehbein looked beyond Brady's scarecrow build and heavy feet, just as he would ignore those images of Brady running the 40-yard dash at the pre-draft combine as if he were some panting insurance broker chasing after a downtown bus.

**** appreciated Brady's competitive desire and talent for pulling Michigan from the brink of defeat. Belichick's quarterbacks coach told Pam he thought he'd found another Joe Montana or Brett Favre. "Twenty years from now," **** told his wife, "people will know the name Tom Brady."

It is scary how close we all came to this reality.

Understand, we could be sitting on zero titles today.

Now, plenty of undrafted free agents are in Canton, or should be.

I'm just sayin'

You are not going to teach him anything, he had no idea who that even was when I posted his name.

Did you even read your own article?

"But before Rehbein worked with Bledsoe, Belichick had him evaluate a couple of draft-eligible college kids"....BB instructed him to evaluate Rattay and Brady as prospects behind Bledsoe. Both Rhebein and BB liked what they saw in Brady. Duh.

Rehbein liked Brady before Bill even knew who Brady was. lol He tried to get Brady to USC. Brady would not have been drafted to the patriots if it were not for Rehbein. Its that simple. You didnt even know who he was until today. Glad you learned something.

Yep. Johnny on the spot with every possible negative stat for every occasion. Don't you think everyone notices that? You make Rob Parker look rational.
After 15 years of the Boston media covering for Tom Brady's horrendous gaffes at times in big games up through 2012, there's a big list to pull from.

I am just thankful BB drafted JimmyG to use him to scare the crap out of Brady needing to go play elsewhere, because it worked.

The 3 best draft picks ever used in NE history:

1st rder for BB
6th rder for Brady
2nd rder for JimmyG

Yeah that Brady, he really was screwing this team over the last 20 years. lol. Please tell me someone who thinks this joke is a patriots fan.

You do realize Brady was a 6th rd pick, right? This means no team in the league would have drafted him. BB did. He drafts the players, not QB coaches. No, it's not that simple. BB evalauates all college players and he drafted him because he agreed with Rhebein's analysis, which is great.

Brady would be selling insurance right now as stated in the article. You keep trying to sell us on Brady being a star in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 with mindlowing stats early in his career, where it was BB and Weis's coaching that developed him. There is no way he would have become what's he;s become anywhere else in that league the way teams chew through QBs. There are literally dozens upon dozens of busts and disappointments, but BB wisely protected Brady until he was more experienced, and somehow you weren't born yet or very young, so you don't remember this, while everyone else does.

The fact you think Brady needed no seasoning or grooming is scary. Do you believe in the Tooth Fairy, too?

Nope. It's just that the media glossed over all of this and never reported it as it happened in real time. It's actually what allowed Brady's ego to explode. Not one radio station, newspaper, beatwriter, not one ever said Brady made a mistake in his entire career here.

He could throw 7 INTs in a game and nothing would have been said about it being bad and contributing to a loss. I am just an honest and objective Boston sports fan.
Week 4 2014.

Go look at how the media (both local and national) reacted to TBs poor performance.

You realize that where you are picked has zero to do with what you are in the NFL...right? Are you still holding out hope for Sam Bradford and Couch?

Brady could barely thrown an incomplete pass without the media ripping him apart the next day. Yeah he had 4 td's but remember that receiver he missed in the 2nd quarter? He is falling off the cliff. Media members made their careers out of bashing Brady.

Yeah that Brady, he really was screwing this team over the last 20 years. lol. Please tell me someone who thinks this joke is a patriots fan.
From 2007-2012, Tom Brady's INT rate in the postseason went up and his game management skills, preferring his precious shotgun spread, with no FB on the roster and wanting to throw 45 times a game, even with leads, went WAY DOWN. I can still see that deer in the headlights look when he realized his predictable offense was busted. He was absolutely horrendous at times.

Why do you think BB drafted JimmyG and worked with him daily? Are you honestly this dumb? There was a point there Brady was TERRIBLE in postseasons after BB started building around Brady first, and defense second, in an offensive league.

He sucked! Crap coming right down his leg in numerous SBs and postseason games. Remember the INT vs the Jets in 2010? Right into the LBs arms like he didn't care where he was throwing it as they steamrolled down the field. What was he thinking? I mean, games like that. And if the D didn't bail him out, they'd get blamed even though his game management ended up stopping the clock with the passing, no playaction and no run game whatsoever because he didn't bother with it. He thought he was so great, other players were beneath him, which is why he started staring down the better players and getting picked.

I am not even sure Donte Stallworth was targeted after that Dallas game in 2007 in like Week 6. Brady wanted futute HOF WRs and talent to make it nice and easy on himself and it backfired. BB saw it, and drafted a replacement.

And, the thing is, word got out about Brady wanting to pass a lot, so defenses baited him and used it against him. BB probably showed him his horrible decisions in those games, which led to the move to draft his successor. That happened.

That's literally why BB sought out a new QB. Brady doesn't play an A+ game every time he plays like you people think he does. My god, is it creepy for grown men to believe this.

Bill was asked postgame if a qb change needed to be made going forward. All they could get out of Bill was a sarcastic laugh as if I can’t believe this idiot asked me this question.

Excuse me? Which ones are these in Boston? 98.5 was formed solely to compete with WEEI and bash BB. 98.5 never once bashed Brady from 2009-2012 after his collapses in postseasons, save for 2009 when they were going nowhere during their rebuild.

Bashing BB is what makes money, not bashing Brady. Only more recently when it appeared BB had Brady's head on straight and they were loading up for the 2nd dynasty, did ESPN start up with their lies about Deflategate and how Brady was old.

Yeah I remember that, and the poster that showed up here was probably screaming, yeah Bill bench Brady! As I said, it got pretty bad for awhile and this happens when you have a ton of success, you are prime target to go after. People like the stories of the little guy making good, when the guy on top keeps winning, people tend to get upset.

Dude, done with your troll ****. Either pick another subject or go start your own thread somewhere.

That's because they knew he had been working with JimmyG every day since the spring.

I'll tell you this: That KC game was classic bad Brady. When they hammered the rock and had physicality vs CIncy that next week, that was Brady knowing he had to be better. But, BB never throws his players under the bus publicly. Never.

Sweet backpedal. Tell us again how Brady gained nothing from BB as a coach.
