What Do You Want?

What if Goff’s performance was the last straw for Detroit yesterday, and a QB is available at #4 and they offer the Pats the Trey Lance package? Namely, pick #28 this year (was #12 in the 49ers case), a first rounder in 2026, and a first rounder in 2027. Do you take it?

No reason to expect those Detroit picks to be top 10 picks in either future year. Would give the Pats ammo to move up in the 1st round in future years though. Looking at the trade value chart, I don’t think it’d be enough, I’d need more.

My Dermatologist here in Green Bay (who was born and raised here) is a Falcons Fan. I saw him the other day for my 6 Month Check-Up. We always talk Football. I told him that had I drafted Kyle Pitts, I would have made him a WR instead of a TE (although he would be a solid blocker as a WR which the Patriots like). At 6'6 and 245 when he was drafted, and with 4.4 something speed, he could have dominated as a 1 inch taller and 5 pound heavier Calvin Johnson. He agreed. I wouldn't mind trading for him if 1. The terms as far as draft picks were not horrible. 2. His health situation was solid. And 3. We used him as primarily a WR (either an X and/or Y).
That is an interesting idea. Overall Pitts has not lived up to the hype, so the Pats have to be careful. But his athleticism would allow him to break out.

Well last year he missed 4 games with injury and the team sat out the starters, the last game of the year the team sat all l the starters. This year and last were contract years for him. you dont play and risk further injury. It is a business to them.
Great. So he does dog it?

Ooh... I love a good nutritional specialist discussion... getting my popcorn!
My nutritional specialist wants to know, how much butter and salt on that popcorn? And what beverage are you drinking with it?

Maybe with the lack of QBs in this draft, a team will metaphorically be sitting in the draft bar at 2:00 AM and Milton is looking good.

Hopefully they’re drinking alone.

My Dermatologist believes that part of the problem is the way the Falcons have used him since drafting him, and that he'd be dominant as strictly a WR.

Understood but it is a guess.

To start with, I Want:
1) Tee Higgins
2) Alaric Jackson
3) Abdul Carter
4) Barmore and Bentley to be healthy
5) Charvarius Ward

yes in a contract year he does, very few wide receivers who are lined up for 100 mill paydays don't. Is this a surprise to you?
You have it backwards. In a contract year/no guarantees the following year they want to produce. That's when WRs complain more about not getting the ball.

Pats should want want at least 4 early round picks (1-3) in the next two years. I’d still rather just draft Carter or Hunter.

The overall objective for the year is to return to being a competitive football team. I want to see them utilize FA, trades and the draft to establish a balanced roster that allows all players to play to their potential. I want to see 2-3 current roster players, most notably Maye, take the next step in their development and have 1-2 new players demonstrated elite potential at their position. If that happens, this will be a big step in the right direction.

“...and I promised myself that if I survived, I would find a small farm somewhere in the Pennsylvania countryside and spend the remainder of my life in quiet and peace.”

I want what these guys want.

What do I want?????

It's either that, or go get 3 KJ Osborns again.

So their only choices are to pay Tee Higgins like he’s Justin Jefferson, or re sign KJ Osborne. In that case don’t sign any receivers and spend every bit of the 135 million on the OLine and Defensive front 7.
