like you know anything about QBs lmao .

They let you back too? That's a surprise to me.

And could you please elaborate? Let me guess, I don't know anything about QBs because I'm a Dolphins fan, right? LMFAO @ that if that's your argument and I know it is.

I can definitly see the argument for the first five (i can't believe I neglected to mention Favre), but I would guess that you are in the serious minority having listed Anderson and Kitna ahead of Ben. I would debate Palmers place and Ben in it.
Yeah, I used to really think Palmer was something special, but what the hell is up with this season? He has alot of yards, but thats just cause he throws a hell of alot, he is inaccurate and does not work well under pressure. I am really starting to wonder if he should be considered if he should even be considered an elite qb, he has some serious issues.

Nope. He's got some writers dangling from his jock, but not as many as Derek Anderson, Media Darling.

I personally think Anderson is having a better season, and probably deserves the Pro Bowl over Roethlisberger.

If Palmer gets in, it's really a bs Pro Bowl selection.

I know you're really high on Roethlisberger's W/L record, and while I think it has more relevance than most, I don't think it really means as much as you think. Charlie Batch has a pretty good record since Roethlisberger has been there, yes?

I would think you're not giving enough credit to the Front 7, the offensive line, and Willie Parker, honestly. Roethlisberger is not asked to win games, just not to lose them, and when the pass attempts are lower (25 and less) his record is stellar. I'd really be curious (and I have no idea where to get this stat) what his record is when he's forced to throw 35-40 times or more.
I think your argument for him being a game manager would have made alot of more sense basing off of his first couple of season. Ben's line is overrated, though they played solid tonight, considering their competition thats not a huge surprise. This season Ben has been alot more involved in the offense and hs been called upon to win games and he has responded very well imo. Dont let the stats fool you either, willie is one of the better backs, but though he has 1,000 yards, he hasn't really come through when we needed him all the time. The steelers are built to have a more balanced offense, and I believe that his record is not as well when he throws 35+ times a game, that can mostly be attributed to the games when they are playing from behind in the first place. I think it is simple, if you make a team one dimensional, then your chances of winning are alot better

His first year he was showered with praise, you saw him everywhere in commercials, but I thought he was over rated. He was surrounded by a great team and most of the time asked to hand the ball off and occasionally throw. This year I see a difference, from what I've seen of him (and it isn't a lot) he's a much better passer and makes better decisions. I now think he's one of the better QB's in the league and hard to defend the way he can break away from tacklers and pass accuratly on the run. Yea, he's for real.

I'd take Ben Roth....... over Palmer. BR has IT. Whatever IT is, he's got it, hes a winner. I don't think Palmer is yet, but that could change with a new coach.

Thanks for the input, I can see how he could have been considered somewhat overrated, but for a rook, it was still an impressive year. The thing that made him stand out in my eyes though, was his second year during the playoffs. Sometimes he worries me when he starts barreling into defender though, I just dint want him to go down for any extended period.

I know what you mean, no matter how you slice it, some guys just have it. Brady, Ben, Favre, Romo. Those are all guys that just seem to be winners, despite the statistics(though Brady's stats are ungodly this season.)

I HATE Ben Rottenburger. Dont really know why... but he is among my top 5 most hated players in the league.

I can actually understand that, I have plenty of players that I just cant stand for some reason that I dont know why. Jeff Garcia, Alex Smith, Shaun Alexander, Takeo Spikes......... theres more I didn't mention.

Actually SA is on my list too. lol-

Brady
Manning
Romo
Palmer
Favre
--
Anderson
Kitna
Roethlisberger

--Note: Favre and Anderson wouldn't have been on this list last year, then again, neither would Roethlisberger.

And as far as the "Romo is/could be a flash in the pan" arguement, I'll buy it, however, Romo's 1st 16 games are clearly superior to Roethlisberger's first 16.

Palmer is a cry baby. he is always yelling at his teammates. he makes excuses constantly. He blameed the field last night for messing up his timing. Ben nearly died twice before last season and refuses to use it as an excuse.

Farve is a gun slinger with nothing resembling discipline.

Manning is a great QB when he can play in the box and go through his progressions with no pressure. He can't improvise to save his life.

Romo looks good but It's early.

Kitna is Kitna. I don't care what he has done this year. He is a bum.

Anderson is a one hit wonder. Teams will figure him out soon and he will be done.

Shouldn't you be asking this on the Dolphins or Giants board, they are more familiar with Big Ben having played a game in London?

I would also like to mention that Ben's passer rating is #3 (was 2 for awhile) behind Brady and Manning. He has taken the reigns of the offense and has responded well. Right now I would put him at #4, Manning, Brady, Favre, Ben. (Sorry, but I think Manning is just smarter than Brady) and Favre has changed from a gunslinger to a westcoast type game at the age of 38 he is just great. Aside from the Steelers, I would be happy if the Packers won the SB just because of Favre!

Farve is still a gunslinger. Did you watch last week's game? No QB is as capable of destroying all hope of a win as much as Farve.

Oh, I dunno...Kyle Boller did a pretty good job last night.

The funny thing about Boller is that you would have sworn the ravens won after the game by listening to his comments and watching his body language. He was just so happy to be there.

Kid's got the raw ability, that's the sad part.
