What do they really weight? weight? what a knuckle head, I can't even spell anymore...

Every year before the combine the list of potential LBs for the Patriots quickly gets trimmed down when 242 become 233 and 6'1 becomes 5'11. Also players tend to grow and shrink between the combine and their pro days...

This is a list of some of the players I have being monitoring... lets just call this the "before" list of potential LBs. Lets see who is left standing after the weigh ins.

Wheeler, Philip Georgia Tech 6-2 245
Bell, Beau UNLV 6-2 243
Goff, Jonathan Vanderbilt 6-2 238
Larsen, Spencer Arizona 6-2 243
Williams, Thomas Southern Cal 6-2 240
McClain, Jameel Syracuse 6-1 253
Leman, Jeremy Illinois 6-2 240
Lansanah, Danny Connecticut 6-1 251
Henderson, *Erin Maryland 6-3 242
Davis, Bruce UCLA 6-3 241
Howard, Marcus Georgia 6-2 245
Crable, Shawn Michigan 6-5 241
Butler, Ezra Nevada 6-2 248
Kehl, Bryan BYU 6-3 235
Johnson, Curtis Clark Atlanta 6-3 239
Gatewood, Curtis Vanderbilt 6-2 242
Craig, Angelo Cincinnati 6-5 235
Brown, Titus Mississippi St. 6-3 239
Humpal, Mike Iowa 6-2 242
Guyton, Gary Georgia Tech 6-2 245
Keglar, Stanford Purdue 6-2 246

Those numbers are from the nfl draft board or something like that right?
Where players show up and get measured and that's it I think?

If I was a player, I'd either drink water to gain weight or cut weight to look better, but for workouts would go to my optimal weight which is +-2-10 lbs off the weighed in weight in most cases

my .02

Out of that list, here are guys who, upon 1st read, I'd like the Pats to look at:

ILBS:

Jonathan Goff
Jameel McClain
Spencer Larsen
Thomas Williams
Danny Lansaneh

OLBS:

Marcus Howard
Shawn Crable
Bryan Kehl
Curtis Johnson
Curtis Gatewood
Mike Humpal

DE to OLB Conversions:
Chris Long
Vernon Gholston
Darrell Robertson
Chase Ortiz
Geryson Gunheim

I wouldn't mind Wheeler in the second or third. He is real fast and looked jacked at the Senior bowl, at first glance Wheeler and Crable's height and weight shouldn't change at the combine because they weighed in at the senior bowl

Edit: I checked on Wheeler again senior bowl weigh in was 235 still real nice physical specimen and he is real fast. Real nice post by the way!

A lot of the height and weight comes out from the schools. My college listed me as 6'2" and 250 lbs. I was actually 6'0 and 1/8' and my weight was 250 at the start of fall practice and 225 by Thanksgiving.

I would like to see what Crable measures at the combine. For the senior bowl he was 6'5 and 1/8" I think. I wonder if the combine will have a different number.
