DEFENSE!!!!!

Chaisson has been a non factor in this game and aside from a blitz and a Landry stunt, Allen has had loads of time.

Also I don't know how they fix red zone defense but fix it they must.

I think they did an incredible job containing Alle in the first half.

They were without Williams and Spillane. And were completely gassed in the second half half. Barmore and Tonga could barely move in the final 6 minutes. Gibbens I thought had a game all things considered but was completely out of place in the second half, just not a MLB starter.
EDGE is a need but we already knew that, I don’t think we learned nothing we didn’t know already.

They did and then they gave up 5 consecutive drive TDs. That might be down to the DC not adjusting to Buffalo's changes put there's no way past it, it was a poor 2nd half. And we can't buy a stop in the red zone. Injuries isn't an acceptable excuse. Every team suffers from them at this part of the season - we've actually been relatively lucky.

I'm not trashing what has been an awesome season based upon just one game but our defense does need to improve both in getting pressure and takeaways.

They absolutely need to improve, all 3 phases.
Injuries are not an excuse, but they play a huge role.I just don’t think this team is at that stage where it can overcome them especially against Allen.
They need someone that can cover TE’s but I thought the second half was more a product of the offense not being able to stay on the field and give the defense a breather.

I agree - same needs.
Need a safety that can cover a TE.
Need a LB.
Need an EDGE.
Need to keep rebuilding the OL.

I´d add a CB, i wouldnt mind one in the 1st round. Really worried about their depth. Still dont understand that last pick last year.
CB, yup.

My advice on draft picks is to not rely on getting any consistent production in the 6th and later but to just enjoy anything that's positive out of the players (outside of STs) that are most often developmental or project players.

Yesterday makes me want Zachariah Branch even more. It has been something I've noticed all season that, even though our passing game has mostly been very good, it does take a while for our receivers to uncover at times. It's partly why Maye has been sacked more than any other QB, and why, as in the second half, Maye is forced to throw to covered receivers. Branch gives us that Edelman/Amendola type who has the quickness to get open quickly. Also, cool Patriots receiver name.

Been mocking him lately with that 3rd pick in my daily prayer mock.

Who do you see him getting snaps from? Pop?
But i agree, i thought that guy would be chism but its not looking good right now.

He'd become better than Pop in the long term. More dynamic, faster and quicker. Apparently he's a 4.35 guy.

I don't read anything into him not getting Game Day snaps. He's a UDFA from a small school. If he can't get serious traction snaps in Training Camp 2/Preseason or if they don't think he will and cut him earlier then, well, his cost is low for an insurance player that has quickness but not speed.

They've also kept him on the roster all year. They clearly like him enough not to risk him getting claimed off the PS.
