One of those big receivers this draft has to offer wouldn’t look so bad right about now.
I just wish Malachi Fields could be that guy. He should be but hasn't shown it yet. Denzel Boston or Ian Strong are the obvious ones.

Yeah, that didn'r make sense. Hats off to London though, he was just outstanding. I'm not sure any corner could have stopped him.
London was amazing. The timing of his routes and the catchs are special.

Of course the Pats, at least through the Jets game, are not always rotating Gonzo onto the top WR which is always going to lead to 'advantage offense'. M Jones on London is an example of how Atlanta knew what the Pats defense was doing and rotated London so he was on Jones. Pats D has to be less predicatable.

I'm sorry but this is too determinative for my taste. They need to hit interior OL early but I'd rather they go BPA on defense mostly throughout the draft.

QB: UDFA or BPA late

RT: BPA

I lean towards the OL/DE/S early BPA (Day 1/Day2). But right guy at LB or CB or WR, take 'em.

After last nights game, one thing became really clear to me. We really saw the Vrabel type on defense.

1. Be smart. Don't make fundamental mistakes.

2. Effort & finish.

3. Swarm to the ball.

4. Be physical in the tackle and make sure you nail it.

I think these are my yardsticks when evaluating defensive prospects.

Then listening to the players talk about the plays/execution and their thoughts about them. You could have made that list from their answers.

I have a lot of confidence in the team being able to identify players who are compatible with their identity.

Not 100% sure how much these are yardstick. Definitely don't want players who are lazy, selfish, not fundamentally sound, not physical. But someone like Kyle Williams stands out to me for his explosiveness. I would not say he was the smartest or most fundamentally sound WR available when we took him.

I think you have to make sure prospects are compatible with your values, but beyond that other things stand out.

Coachable comes to mind.

I did specifically say defense.

This is a great draft to build depth. With the development on the OL and at WR, LB, and S, there are few urgent needs.

With the depth at the position, it would ve relatively easy to add depth/talent at:

- RT
- IOL
- WR
- Nickle/safety
- Outside CB
- LB

The biggest question mark us EDGE, which is thin at the top.

If we lose Lowe to FA and don't sign Onwenu, the OL rebuild is still code red. (Says the BPA guy)
