Agreed, Wilson cant be your longterm LG. LG along with EDGE should be priority in the draft.
Thankfully i think this draft has some very good talend at LG. Either a true guard like Pregnon or Ionae or a LT convert like Smith or Siereveld (if they declare).

The earliest pick we can get is 26 but that assumes we, Broncos and the Seahawks all lose next weekend which is unlikely. So 27 or 28 is the earliest we can pick realistically.

Looking at our roster and really breaking down what I feel we need to make our offense complete.

QB: No changes unless you want to change out Dobbs

RB: Stevenson/Henderson as the top 2. Maybe look for a #3 back in the 5th/6th round. Assuming Gibson is cut to save a few million. Jennings and Larison back as well.

WR: Confident rolling out our top 6 the way it is. If a sure fire #1 is possible I’m ok with it.

TE/FB: Need a #2. Bringing Hooper back would suffice. Wouldn’t mind getting younger and cheaper here. Lamps vs Westover for the FB/#3 spot

OL:

LT: Campbell
LG: High Draft Pick (Pregnon)
C: Wilson
RG: Onwenu…he’s not going anywhere
RT: Moses

OL Bench:
Brown
Bradbury/vet backup
Draft a swing tackle with future starting potential
Re-sign Lowe…can’t believe those words came out of my mouth
Bryant

I'm starting to think it might be worth bringing back Onwenu for another year. The money is an issue but he's been our best OL this year and the less disruption on the OL the better.

Not a bad plan, if you can make it work.

I have been seeing a rash of mocks from reddit and known draft sites that have CJ Allen, TJ Parker, R Mason Thomas, Romello height, Casius Howell, and the occasional WR. My question is of those edge rushers how would you rank them and what does CJ Allen offer as an off ball LB?

I have read various scouting reports but I trust you guys more.

For me

1. TJ Parker
2. R Mason Thomas
3. Cashius Howell
4. Romello Height.

I really like Height but I think he comes in lower than the 240lb he's listed at. Howell only has one pass rushing move which concerns me and Thomas might struggle to be a 3 down edge although he's a good speed rusher on passing downs.

As for CJ Allen, he's a run stuffer rather than a coverage guy but he's exceptional at it with a very low missed tackle rate. Very good sideline to sideline range. I have him as one of my target picks in the first round, probably to start as a Jack Gibbens replacement but to eventually be Spillane's long-term replacement. I think Vrabel will really like his work-ethic and leadership which is why I'm so high on him as a Patriots first rounder.

I don't want to overreact, but Jared Wilson should be switched to center. He had a bad game tonight.

No one will Ever convince me otherwise that we would not have been better-off with Strange69 at LG this season while Wilson used it as a Red-Shirt season to get stronger, add some sand to his pants, and learn what it takes to be an NFL Center.

Besides Strange69: David Andrews, Jake Andrews, Siddy the Sow and Mike Jordan should ALL have been given Legit chances to win an IOL job here. Cavedin Wallace is ****ing Garbage; and Bennie Brownstain, worthy of a Mid-Season TWO-year ex-tension?!? GTFO.

And I don't know if KC would've ever considered trading him here, but how ****ing smart do da Bears look for dealing a 4th-rounder for Thuney?

I never understood why we didn't bring Thuney back. I think Vrabel and crew don't want to start paying high salaries for older players. Same as the Chiefs, but the Chiefs look stupid for trading Thuney to begin with.

Strange69 has not been special. J Andrews has started and improved but I am not sure of his ceiling.

What positions are the Patriots set at? I have QB, RB, CB 1, kicker, and TE (this is debatable because Henry is getting up there in age and miles).

Not TE because Austin Hooper is a FA. So they could draft a TE 2 with a view to them being TE 1 when Henry leaves.

You could argue that DT is set so long as they re-sign Tonga although I'm not opposed to drafting BPA at the position even if they do but Barmore-Williams-Tonga-Durden-Farmer isn't a bad grouping.

WR is technically set for next year as everyone is due to come back next season. Finding future replacements for Diggs and Hollins is something that needs to be done at some stage though.
