That’s why I said “essentially a rookie” and Brady doesn’t only have two on the season. Mahomes does and is fortunate that there haven’t been more. Brady also didn’t have the media fitting his bust for Canton in his first season starting. That took a little longer.

Rooting for the home town team a bit though, are we?

Then Brady was essentially a rookie who won the Super Bowl.

Brady should have more INTs too. The TD to Gordon was a hail Mary that worked out.

What does what the media says have anything to do with winning or losing? Like the fans, the media loves you when you win and hates you when you lose.

Credit where credit is due.

Never, ever, ever, ever...ever...

Sure, people will quibble "that's a pitch not a throw"...Mahomes' was just as much a shot put as this one was

Never stated never before.

Mahomes was in his 5th game of his career. The played showed quick thinking and maturity.

What is the difference?

Bad decision means throwing in double or triple coverage, for example, or throwing the ball just to avoid a sack. Bad throw means the receiver is open but the accuracy isn’t there. Anyway, that’s how I interpret it.

We have been waxed by KC last two times in the regulr season by giving up over 40 pts. I think reid's playcalling hasnt been a good matchup for the pats defense even when we have won against him. Its a tall ask next sunday. Need some turnovers. Without that I think the offense will keep up for a while but eventually it will get overwhelmed if we cant stop KC at all.

Hater

You have been stripped of your fan status for a probationary period. You can return when youre ready to drink the koolaid.

Agreed - the offense can't do this alone.

Feels strange to call it a must win game but I think it is in many ways at least for bye implications. Win and the Pats can avoid Arrowhead in the playoffs with a tie and could nullify the loss to Jax if all 3 teams ended up with the same record.

I'll go along with that but I think it's a nuanced answer.

For example, Brady chucking a 34yd bomb to Josh in double coverage....what that a good decision? I dunna know. With a throw like that, you can easily argue both sides.

I dunno, I think Brady threw it to Gordon trusting that he would make a play. He's had a couple of weeks practice and games with him now. I dont think it was as reckless as it seemed. If that was Hogan yes, but Gordon, no.

Right and the point is that nobody was fitting Brady’s bust for Canton in his first five games the way they are Mahomes. People make him sound as if he’s an unstoppable machine.

No, he really shouldn’t. He should actually have less INTs than he has now but unfortunately for him they counted Gronk’s fumble as a pick and Hogan had butterfingers.

The problem is we’re not talking about winning or losing. We’re talking about crowning this kid as the next best thing 5 games into his pro career. He may be and he might not be. But we sure as hell don’t know that yet.

Credit where credit is due.

Of course. As I said, he’s been very good. I’m just not ready to put him in Canton yet.

Who has stated that Mahomes will be in Canton? Do you have examples?

Simply pointing that another QB is playing exceptionally well is not the same as saying that he is unstoppable. Brady can be stopped and HE is going to Canton.

Those kinds of plays offset the INTss that are dropped. You see dropped INTs every week in the NFL.

Samuel let an INT sail right through his hands in the Super Bowl.

Who is crowning anybody by stating that Mahomes passes really well and has great mobility to escape sacks and take off running for a 1st down?

Of course. As I said, he’s been very good. I’m just not ready to put him in Canton yet.

If you can find specific comments by anyone of notoriety regarding Mahomes and Canton I want to see them. A fan stating Mahomes looks like a real keeper with all the tools is not the same as putting him in Canton.

Fans have input on the Probowl but not the HOF.

Sometimes the other team is good too.

So, are we going to see Jonathan Jones covering Hill all game? He is the quickest of the corners.

You must not be watching a ton of national sports talk at the moment. The media has been comparing him to Favre ad nauseam. There have been numerous articles that have cropped up that have called him the "next great QB": Is Patrick Mahomes NFL's next great QB? 'Secret's out' after record start, and the sports media has already given him the nickname of “Showtime”... all after 5 games. This time last year, they were doing the same with Watson.

So, are we going to see Jonathan Jones covering Hill all game? He is the quickest of the corners.

Depends on how much man we play.

What's with that message board? Very boring. All I see are one liners. The KC fans seem to have an IQ of 90.

A few them finished a complete thought though, even though they were wrong
