I was so close to turn off the Lions-Pats game cuz the Pats were allergic to tackling.Did not expect that at all. Tackling seems subpar across the league.
So a failed throw is not a bad decision? It means his man was open, he just failed to deliver an accurate throw
An example of a poor decision is probably McNabb's Superbowl interception
Mahomes scrambles out of the pocket and still makes the throw. One game, He was scrambling left and changed the ball from his right hand to his left and still completed a pass for a 1st down. He keeps coming up with the winning hand.
Think Big Ben who just when you think you have him trapped, but he gets away only worse.
He’s been good but he’s also essentially a rookie with 5 games of tape playing on a loaded offense whose been lucky that more than 2 balls haven’t been intercepted. We’ve seen these types of guys throughout NFL history. The question is: will he get better once DCs start taking away what he’s comfortable with? That’ll be the ultimate test of how good he is.
So a failed throw is not a bad decision?
Well why did he decide to throw so poorly???No. It's just poor throw.
If a receiver is wide open but his QB overthrows him, the decision to pass was correct, but the throw was inaccurate. Good decision, bad throw.
You must not be watching a ton of national sports talk at the moment. The media has been comparing him to Favre ad nauseam. There have been numerous articles that have cropped up that have called him the "next great QB": Is Patrick Mahomes NFL's next great QB? 'Secret's out' after record start, and the sports media has already given him the nickname of “Showtime”... all after 5 games. This time last year, they were doing the same with Watson.
.
FWIW I will believe in the chiefs once they win a playoff game. They havehad homefield twice in last two yrs and lost to the steelers and titans . This game is just the next big game for the pats which seems to happen a few times every season .The result of this game doesnt mean at least for me in the grand scheme of things. I trust our coaching staff and team more if it gets into the playoffs.Hater
You have been stripped of your fan status for a probationary period. You can return when youre ready to drink the koolaid.
Its long long way to determine playoff seedings. Chiefs have lost in the playoffs at home .Agreed - the offense can't do this alone.
Feels strange to call it a must win game but I think it is in many ways at least for bye implications. Win and the Pats can avoid Arrowhead in the playoffs with a tie and could nullify the loss to Jax if all 3 teams ended up with the same record.
I think we should rename the thread how KC will beat the crap out of usHe’s God. The mulatto Jesus on the football field. The greatest thing to ever grace the gridiron in ANY era. The rest of the league has no hope... nay... no PRAYER of stopping this titan of the pigskin. As a matter of fact, the rest of the league may as well forfeit. Abandon hope all ye who enter here.
The media were tripping over themselves to heap praise over Jimmy last year and this board was giddy.
Mahomes play does remind me of Farve or Elway. Elway for his arm and Farve for his sand lot ball going off script making plays. You dont just go into Pittsburgh and torch them or make the Jax D look just alright.
Your point is true. Yet "slowing" a team down to 30 points scored will require our offense to score 31+.
Doable???
It’s hard to rough the passer when you are almost dead last in sacks.
That said I like our chances in this game. They stomped us last year at home, it’s payback time.
