We're On to Arizona

It is also worth noting that AZ seems to have some offensive line issues perhaps so a lot of Mingo/Sheard/Johnson whenever we get a favorable chance to put them in

Arians is very good playcaller. On the road at a load stadium vs a team having high aspiratons on SNF, pats couldnt ask for a tougher opening game.Pats best chance i think happens with palmer

Run Blunt run Blunt playaction pass we need our defense to play lights out and get about 3 turnovers

Hope we get out of the game without injuries. Anything beyond that is just a bonus.

Its the following three games that I really want to win.

Just wondering what Bruce Ariens will do when he sees a four wide set with Gronk, Bennett, Amendola, and Edelman. He'll probably forget to cover DJ Foster on the wheel route.
What, no Solder reporting as eligible?

Anything can happen, but this first game might not be NE's. I'm not a huge believer in Az (they are soft), but there are too many factors that go the Cardinals' way in this one for me to feel confident about NE's chances.

On offense the key to this game with be our TEs and RBs. I do not want to test their DBs straight up vs our WRs.

I believe Edelman/Hogan will be kept in check by Mathieu/Peterson. Though maybe our 3rd WR could get some work done I don't think throwing to a maybe injured/rusty Amendola 10 times is the way to victory.

I think to be successful on offense we throw to Foster/White and Gronk/Bennett/Derby.

BB knows Chandler Jones and knows he is too big to keep up with Foster/White in an open field and I assuming that is the same for their other big OLB. The Cardinals really had no answer for TEs last year and I expect that to be the case against us. I just hope Gronk is healthy.

If we want to win we need to get 100 reception yards from our backs and 100 reception yards from our TEs. We are very capable of this and we pick and choose our spots with Edelman/Hogan very carefully.

Ideally Jimmy G has a line like 20/31 240 yards 1 TD 0 Ints and we run the ball plus 40 times.

If we are to win though in the end we need our STs and D to get it done cause the offense will not be good enough. We need our D to get us cheap points with either a score or a short field we turn into a rushing TD or a FG. Also we need to have a few game changing plays on STs. Not automatically a TD return though that be nice but if we pin them inside the 5 and have a few 30+ yard returns that give the O a short field where we only need a few first downs to get a FG that makes the game winnable.

Here is an example of how we win IMO

1 offensive drive for 75 yards for a TD (we need 1 drive and TD done solely by the O)
1 offensive drive 50 yards for a FG (Offense needs to get itself in field position to score at FG at some point without help)
1 Defensive turnover that gives us a short field for a TD (we need a turnover probably inside their own 40 and our O needs to convert that to a TD OR just a plain old defensive TD)
1 Defensive turnover that takes points off the board for AZ (a turnover where they are close enough to score a FG and maybe TD... we need to take those points away from them)
1 STs play to win field position (pin them inside the 5 and give our O a short field to make a FG possible with just 2 first downs and make that FG)
1 STs return to the 50 or so (give our O a short field so only a few first downs are needed for a FG that we get).

Combine all these and we get 23 points and we make them score more than that vs our D to beat us. If we take a score away from them as well like i have them do here we make that very hard for them to do.

Will see how healthy Mathieu is come week 1.

So Mathieu who didn't play a snap in any preseason game and has only been practicing for the last 2 weeks, albeit limited isn't gonna be rusty?

Edelman hasn't looked 100% either. I think neither is going to be at their best.
