I don't really have a problem with what Faulk said. Faulk has first hand knowledge of what Manning does and how he has the freedom to call plays at the line where he has no knowledge of what Brady does. He knows that Manning has the freedom of calling basically anything at the line. Brady may have the same freedom, but Faulk may just not know it.

He is a blatant Patriots hater, but I think this may not be the case in this particular situation. I listened to the segment and it just seems that he has seen what Manning has done first hand.

He basically said that Manning comes to the line with 3 plays and picks one. If none of them look good against the D alignment he audibles to another. Faulk said he doesn't think Brady can do that.

He's a fool. I don't even pay any attention to him any more because his credibility is gone, if he ever had any in the first place.

I didn't see a link to his interview. On NFL network the other night he said the only reason he was picking against the Patriots to have a down year was based on all the statistics of the past SB losers. Real analytical on his part. Discount one of the best QB-Coach tandems in the history of the game and one of the easiest schedule.

I didn't see the segment, but just from reading, it's WHY I think he's an idiot. He doesn't know, but he continues his inquisition. Don't hate the player, Faulk, hate the game.

I agree with that. Even if Faulk wasn't such a blatant Patriots hater to the point of bafoonery, I would still think he is a horrible analyst who, if you didn't know who he was, you would wonder if he ever played the game of football in his life. Some former players who become analysts seem to be the least knowledgeable about football (Faulk, Emmitt Smith, Jerome Bettis, etc.).

Ill never forget the arguement he made last year as to why Manning is better then Brady. And he said that it was because Manning was brought in to "save a franchise". And that Manning was brought on to be the focal point of the Colts offense and the offense was built around Manning. While Brady was only a back up and was thrown in to the Pats team by injury. Ok, think about that for just a second. He is basically saying that the Colts gave Manning the weapons he needed to try to succeed and mae the Colts a better team. While Brady was thrown in to a team that was already built for a different QB and different team philosophy. Then what does that say when Brady has had more succeess (championships) and basically equal stats to Manning?

Tom Brady said that he and many other QBs around the league do the exact thing that Peyton Manning does. It's nothing new it's just talked about to puff up the image of Peyton Manning like sports media does with everyone, including Brady himself. They've got to make their stories.

By the time the segment is half way through, Woodson and Eisen are starting to have trouble holding back from laughing on camera at Faulk.

Okay folks. It isn't a big secret that Marshall Faulk is a bitter man that despises the Patriots and an idiot to boot. When he says something based on fact and actual research, I'll listen. Other than that it's back to ho-hum Friday.

Anybody who is insulted by this has mental issues. Its not a slight against Tom Brady or the Pats...if anything is a compliment. He's saying the Colts would be worse off without Manning than the Patriots would be without Brady. It in no way means he's saying Manning is better than Brady or the Colts are better than the Patriots.
