Don't be so sure. We've had our trouble with play-actions too.

How do we know this Pats team will have problems with play action? If the Pats' run D is far real, the Pats' aren't going to see a lot of play action anyway.

Can't let Baltimore get a good lead or you wind up with this

I hope the Eagles take the Ravens behind the woodshed next week.

going to be a good game in 2 weeks!

Nice throw firecrotch. Can we never put the Bungles on primetime again

They may be a year away from really contending the way Marvis Lewis wants them to be. Maybe another playmaker on offense, but that Defense needs work.

They still need a quarterback.

The Bengals are still a soft team. They fall apart whenever someone gives them a challenge. They can beat up on the bad teams and fall apart against the good teams.

Nothing worries me more than having to play Pollard again. I know the guy is dirty.

The Bengals kinda suck at football.

"Dean Pees...creative blitz"

Well he never did that for the Patriots!

There's that stupid chant again.

The Bengals are the biggest teases in the NFL. Every time they look like they are close to being a legitimate conteder, they go back to being mediocre. I think they may have been a team that benefitted from the lockout because they run the simpliest systems in the NFL which means their learning curve for getting back into the flow was the lowest.

did you guys hear joe flacco's audible call earlier? it was "patriots" lol.

this game is over...going to play madden until SD/Oak starts

baltimore's D is piling up stats on a bad offense fooling everyone on how dominant they are

Yeah, and Hassellback was having his way yesterday when he first came in. I think this Ravens offense could spell serious trouble. Belichick will probably commit completely to taking away the run. So look for a lot of Flacco pass yards and a lot of bend but don't break. I just wonder if the Pats defense will be able to keep from breaking.

The first game of the season is always the hardest to plan for, strategy-wise, but now that we get a good look at the Ravens new tweaks (no-huddle, plenty of PA's), I'm not sure we'll scheme exclusively to stop the run. We only need to collapse the pocket to greatly reduce Flacco's efficiency. My initial guess is that we definitely take away the OZ runs/seal the edges and try to funnel Rice into the middle, and give up the middle gain and gamble that Flacco becomes impatient, because he is not a methodical passer.
