2) Mayo should step in where he can help. He needs to be the co-DC again, this time with Covington. They need to work together on schemes and calls. They need to develop a plan, perhaps going back to a 5-6 DB base.

Look at how defensive Mayo gets about the defense's schemes and calls, while blaming the players. I don't think there is any doubt he is co-dc. Covington was never going to be left on a island.

Booty and Thornton both have good-great speed. Looking forward to a long ball or 2. Both can take a slant to the house, I am pretty excited about this week especially with the improvement that Maye has shown. Yes I know that Booty ran a 4.5 40, but he was still recovering from 2 ankle surgeries.

Is your point that Mayo isn't as good at developing game plans and coaching the game than Belichick was on his worst day (especially against the jets).

They need to have the talent to match up with them first. They are one of the least talented defenses in the league.

So the evil part of me kind of wants the Jets to win, therefore having the media proclaiming "that was the get right game! Rodgers is back!" (or similar) just to immediately crash right back to their previous pitifulness proving Rodgers was just a pretty good QB that got way too much attention and therefore full of himself. Then the media goes right back to "no, the Jete still suck".
