If Mac doesn't move the offense and/or score at least a FG in their first 2 drives, I wouldn't be mad if they go to Malik, and just let him run the RPO the rest of the game. I swear that would produce more than we have been doing.
On the other hand, I do root for Mac to do well. I would love BOB (and grumpy vet-loving BB) to play the young fast guys and just let it rip.

I don’t think many fans are questioning BB’s legacy just whether he’s the right guy to move the 2023 Patriots to better things. Nobody questions Shula’s Noll’s or Landry’s legacy now but at the end of their careers they looked just like Bill does today.

Sure .But that is not what is being said. People are pointing out the 10 mistakes he did in 20 yrs which cost us superbowls! Like brady did everything and BB was just there as a place holder.

Unfortunately if they cant pass protect , none of this matters.And with lowe at RT i see more of the same. We get the protection from two yrs ago, mac can play better.

Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning etc.. were all pretty close to Brady level, without Belichick how many did they win? How many would they have won with Belichick? I would so many more!

One thing we can establish without any doubt - over the last three years - is that Belichick wasn’t responsible for Brady’s clutch play and other worldly ability to play at his highest level in the most crucial situations. We’ve seen Brady do the same thing in Tampa Bay. We’ve seen no evidence (if not counter evidence) of any quarterback Belichick has ever coached having any type of edge because he has Belichick.

Rodgers had McCarthy and LaFleur. He was the exact same choking QB with both. Manning had Dungy, Fox, and Kubiak. He was the exact same choking QB with all three.

Your argument would have made some sense (maybe a little) in 2019 (before Brady went to Tampa and defeated three HoF QBs en route to a Super Bowl then erased a 27-3 deficit to the eventual SB winners) and would have been well received in 2010 (before Manning went to Denver and could bo longer blame Dungy for his postseason collapses.)

As much as the last 2 games were indictments on Mac, it was really THE golden opportunity for Zappe to prove he's a better option and take the spot. But he sucked, and I mean - badly! So, send him down. Grier is probably as capable as Zappe in this offense right now.
It should be Mac, Grier, Malik.
But I expect that to happen after this week, when we bring another 1 or 2 guys back from IR/PS

Zappe will be gone if/once Grier is sufficiently up to speed on the playbook. Watch for Grier getting more practice snaps.
