First of all I would like to mention that I have found a lot of respect for your fanbase over the last week. You guys as a whole are knowledgeable and respectful. I find that interesting because of all of your recent success. See we have dealings with a team in our division who is totally overboard on championships that they won in the 80s.The arrogance is overwhelming. :bricks:
This game has me really worried. First of all, your tight ends are frightening. Although we have stifled some of them this year, tight ends have eaten this D alive recently as last year. Although Witten didnt "go off" on us he really should have had 125+ yards on us. He has had the spleen problem and his first catch against us he got destroyed by Earl Thomas. After that he not rite in that game. He dropped many open passes looking over his shoulder.
Lets just say I don't plan on Benching Gronk this week in my FF league.
We have however upgraded our speed and athleticism from the LBs, so I am hopeful, but not confident.
You may be able to take advantage of our CBs as well. They (especially Brandon Browner) are susceptible to double moves. However they are extremely good at press coverage, and I think if you go to a fast slant game we can really throw off the timing of the small ball. Expect physicality on the edges. There may be an advantage for you if you get Trufant (our nickle/ slot cover DB) one on one with Wes. I honestly think however that your TEs will be the problem not the WRs. Our D had been extreemly efficiant on first and second down, however have been really bad at stopping teams in third and long. That connot contiune against your team if we want to win.
Our dline looks extremely good in pass rush and run D. I am worried about your no huddle offence. No huddle has been an issue thus far this season, when used at end of half or forth quarter. Teams have gobbled up a lot of yardage on us threw the air. I think the noise in the clinic will affect your team and our passrush. Our team will have to telegraph the snap count or have a code for the snap (some teams have done this with a head bob from the center and other things like that) and that should help the D get a lot of jump. Tom is smart enough to change it up in game but that will slow you down some.
Our penalties need to stop. We are not disciplined. This has been an achilles heel of ours so far. I feel that we have beaten ourselves more then we have been beaten.
In the end I think our D holds you guys to no more then 24. It will be hard for our O to give us that many so we shall see. This game should be closer than a lot of people think.
GL with the rest of this season after Sunday. Hope both teams leave without any more injuries.
