I'm pretty confident they'll take this one. Classic case of bouncing back against a subpar opponent to give us false hope. Seen it enough times the last 4 years to sense the next one coming.
They might, and I'll root for them to do so, because that's what I want to happen, but at some point the team, if not the fans, needs to turn to a longer term perspective such that our highest aspiration is to compete for the championship rather than being to beat a couple of weak teams in the course of a losing season.

Just think who else we have and you will understand ...

Man ! We miss Meyers a lotttttt
About meyers - this maybe an unpopular opinion . Yes i would have him over juju for sure . But i dont know how easy he has had it after the stunt he pulled vs the raiders which cost us the game. I still cant get over what he did.
The media was fawning over how he stood there and took questions and took ownership. What else was he supposed to do ?? Its the job to answer the questions. It really stuck with me how easy it was for him to just do a crap play and answer questions and move on because he had good graces with the media .
I saw a mcourty interview with chris long i think. He talked about the play and said the players were joking and laughing on the way back home and he was surprised and realized this is how the new gen is.

The truth can be a very cruel thing.

Wasn't 09 the year that Bill was heard on the sideline complaining to one of his coaches about not being able to get them going? This team's attitude is a notch below that. It's like they aren't listening or don't care.
He was complaining to brady .

They have the ability. i dont think this team is mentally there. Someone needs to read them the riot act. We dont have a mcginest or a rodney or edelman who can do that unfortunately.

Saints did rough them up in 2021 though.

But I agree, this is the pattern of Bill’s teams since 2020 - pad their stats and wins vs sub .500 teams. However, Saints are at least .500 which Bill has a losing record against since 2020.

No question this is an important game and that they should try to "bounce back." The question is do they have the players and the coaching to accomplish this? I hope they win, and I'll root for them to do so, but I don't think they will. Given the sub-par start, nearly all the games going forward will be "must-win" or nearly so, but all the sense of urgency, fan support, hopeful takes, etc, in the world don't matter if you lack the resources needed to win. No one likes a gratuitously negative take, but in this case, a negative take and a realistic take are one in the same. I don't think they are going to win enough games to be relevant this year, so I'm concentrating on what can be accomplished over the next couple of years, in part because there is reason to hope we might actually get competitive in that time frame. Hoping we can work our way back to relevance this year isn't a hopeful take at all: it is a take doomed to disappointment, and any expectation this team can succeed this year at all doesn't "support" the team: it just imposes on them expectations they have no chance of meeting.
When everyone in the media dn the noise is to blame the coaching and HC and rightfully so in some cases, the players will tend to tune out any urgency especially if they have no fight in them or the nature to fight for each other.
You saw in the jets game. Everyone was talking about what mac did to sauce gardner. But two jets body slammed and stood over mac and not one pats player stood up for him . This doesnt seem to a close knit group which cares. They are nice and try hard but dont have any sense of urgency .

Mac’s job is safe for now as they don’t have another NFL QB on the roster. When they upgrade the backup position then the clock starts ticking.

Agreed. But PatsFans loves Bourne even though they are all very similar.
Yeah... I like KB too I think it's he's a high energy guy. But to your point he's ok Nothing special. I swear Douglas needs to get involved more he's the only guy that can separate and do something.

LOL.. I caught that.

But Douglas can not learn the playbook like when he ran into Parker last week.

Remember the feeling we all felt in 2021 during the win streak.. the team was even in the #1 seed for a while after the windstorm Buffalo win. It felt like wow BB has done it again. He drafted a kid and got the team back on top after a 7-9 2020. That was a great feeling made you as a fan feel good like we felt for 19 seasons. Then it all came crashing down that season and 2022 was on BB his decisions, just like his decisions to set the roster up like this. I agree with you something internally is off with this team. However I know winning cures all. If they miraculous start winning again then it could change things.
