Obviously a must win game here. Lose this one and that’s essentially the season with buffalo and miami on the horizon after vegas. Not sure how the defense is going to hold up, not good that theres no signs of jack jones returning today. Bryant and wade tbh have not looked THAT bad to me this year, i think they have improved but you don’t want them as 1 and 2. If we can get some combination to work out with jon , jack, jcj , or even shift mills over for the top 2 slots i think the could be alright on the backend. And hopefully white is ready for a bigger role!

Offensively, time is running out and theres no more excuses now. They HAVE to start showing improvement immediately. September is over , weve had our extended preseason with the new offense ( maybe actually ****ing play these guys next preseason when youre adapting to a new oc), its time to start producing. Nobody’s expecting 30 points out of you, but lets at least see something like we saw in the philly game minus the turnovers.

If zach wilson can suddenly look competent against the chiefs i am hoping mac can do better as well.

They are also a team that didn't have a contingency plan for post HOF QB. They should have drafted a QB high a year or two before Brees retired. They drafted a QB in the seventh round in Brees' last season, but they never drafted a QB in the first four rounds since 2015 prior to Brees retiring.

They made a big attempt to trade up for Mahomes, traded for Winston, and signed Hill to a lte. Then traded for Carr. They’ve certainly had plans. None have panned out that well.

Pretty much what I said. He blames Mac for not seeing the field (but clearly states that is usually his strength), but he also says that Mac is in tough position because he has no outside receiver, JuJu sucks, and the o-line is a mess. I think you may be reading this and seeing it the way you want.

Lazar is fairly positive about Mac Jones in general, but thought he sucked in this game, but he also that the reason he sucked is in part of not having receiving and o-line talent.

This is directly from the article you posted:
Nice we had the First shot at D-Hop and let him leave the Building while extending Parker in the process bravo.

Let me ask. BB always says.. the guys that practice well get the opportunity.. so is it that our WR'S play well in practice and just can't transfer it to game days?
Beating Myles away Bryant and those other stiffs just doesn't translate on Game day.

LOL.. believe it or not Cincy with burrow and those 2 burners on the outside are worse than us on offense I was wowed when I saw that.

Why are they not promoting reagor now. I think we just need to go gang busters with fast players. Get two blocking tight ends and run plays with Douglas, Thornton and reagor/ Marcus Jones. Get creative. If they decide not to blitz , the two tight ends can escape pocket catch the screens and get 8 yards.
Get creative?!? What do you think this is... 2023?

After a punishing loss, there is an answer.

It's easier to cheer for a name with 2 syllables than 1 (no I'm not going down that road). If the crowd starts chanting Mac, they'll just sound like bleating goats. I'm hoping for 4TD 0TO just to hear what that sounds like.

I've been saying this since 2019 - Patriots receivers are NEVER wide open like you see so many times on other teams. I'm not talking busted coverage wide open, I mean "wide" open like when Edelman would be coming across the field with a guy 3 yards behind him and Brady would him him 8 yards past the LOS and Edelman would take it another 10 yards. I'd get banned and pilloried from pillar to post for simply pointing out the fact that (in 2019), a receiver corps of an old and injured Edelman, Sanu, Harry, and Dorsett is not an NFL caliber receiver group. And it was an insult to the greatest of all time qb to saddle him with such a sad sack group. Now of course, Krafty Bob and Bill the GM tried to augment that sorry group with drug addict Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown - but Gordon couldn't lay off the weed, coke, booze or whatever he was doing and Krafty bowed down to the media and cut Brown.
And now this bozo coach has set up Mac Jones with a probably inferior group than the 2019 island of misfit toys. This all goes back to the fact that Bill the Coach does not value speed, skill and athleticism as much as he values guys who do what they're told and don't talk out of school (example - buh bye Bourne and extension for Parker).
The offense will not improve to the point where it is competitive in the AFC until Belichick is fired or he finally puts resources into legitimate pass catching talent.
The part that bothers me is the part in bold. I believe there may be some truth to that and it might explain why Bill is so fond of Patricia. Maybe they're two peas in a pod and like the my way or the highway approach.

As for the comparison to 2019, yeah, the offenses are close, but mostly because of the injuries on the OL and at FB in 19. Lucky for us that we had a QB in 2019 who was seeing the field like a champ and was getting rid of the ball in microseconds. For the Pats to get to 12-4 and one really crap call away from a win vs KC was a minor miracle with all that went on that year.

We don't have all that going for us now but it was one hell of a ride while it lasted. And football is one of those games where each season is a work in progress and teams can turn around quickly. We'll learn a lot in the next few weeks.

Both of these teams blow offensively but the Saints have more players who are likely to make one big play to win this game and Mac is looking like a turnover waiting to happen so although this looked like a win on paper the closer the game gets the more i'm expecting another disastrous Mac Jones performance.

The Saints have the better quarterback, offensive line, weapons and now defense with the Patriots injuries, not looking good.

If the Patriots lose this game we're really staring at the potential of a record of less than 6 wins where Bill could genuinely be fired, this is a must win for him and the season.

After Sunday it's BB vs Two McDaniels' with Buffalo sandwich in the middle. What's with BB and these McDaniels'??

I wonder if Reiff will come back off IR and play RT.
I'd have to think they'll try him in practice and see if he's better than Lowe.
