Week 2 Pats @ Steelers pregame thread

You idiot.

The Steelers won last week. Of course you have nothing to say about Mac. Coward.

Dude - the coward is the one that can not own his prediction. You said that Trubisky and Pickett will lead the Steelers to the playoffs. I said you were full of sh!t. How hard is that for you to understand? Let's see who is right in Jan '23. Or are your afraid of that?

You are a moron.

Coward too. Not a word from you about Mac for obvious reasons like always.

Duck and dodge. Nothing has changed. Triumph will never live by his predictions, and will always blame others for remembering what he said.

Pats have to win this game. They are 1-5 since last year's bye week. Need to turn this record around starting on Sunday. Pull out all the stops, even if it means BB taking over the play calling.

Also, since last season, team is 2-9 when opponent scores 17 or more points. Gotta keep Steelers <17 points.

Najee Harris will play in this game...to start anyway. With his injury history, who knows how long he'll last. Their running game is ranked 28th this season(early I know). If they run on our D we're in deep you know what.

Dolphins did not look great running so hopefully the Steelers look equally bad. I think the Pats will be in a "heavier" set with Jennings playing. Trubisky is not going to run away with the ball.

show me this set you're referring to...

Steelers offensive line is reportedly also crap so I expect their run game to be contained.

I am mixed about the Pats winning this game. If there was as much negativity about the Pats after the Miami game, such as the coaching was poor, play calling was bad, Mac Jones could throw the ball, the offensive line was terrible with holes against and no holes to run through, the defensive made untimely mistakes. On and on, this negative light is enough for the Pats to improve and beat the Steelers. Without the negativity, the Pats would lose this game. They shouldn't be losing to the Steelers. Did you see what the Steelers did to Cincinnati? They stayed in the game and beat them. Much like what would happen to the Pats, except the negativity will give the Pats a spark of offensive life. I hope.

And you are not emotionally biased? Yes, I know Deus is statistical and logical - kind of like Spock I guess.

Did you not read the post to which I was responding? Let me help you out:

even though Mac outperformed Brady if you look at the stats (except for the fumble/TD)

Brady had a higher yards per attempt, yards per completion, and a slightly higher passer rating. Also, Brady actually got his team a touchdown. Furthermore, Brady moved his team up and down the field, with red zone issues (in this case a/k/a ****ty OL play resulting in a pair of drive ending sacks) being what likely prevented more touchdown drives.
How dare you mention that name on my Main board???

The thing I am more curious to see on this team is how it progressess from week to week. With the "growth" bet he made for this season (i think everyone understands what I mean), this team has got to improve a lot, week by week, to get to a satisfatory point, not only for this season, but for seasons to come - many guys here are supposed to be the foundation for our future

I wasn't too troubled with the loss to the Dolphins in itself, but more and more I get confused by what strategy BB is employing with the team ( Can someone explain why we trained in a varsity field for a NFL game?)

After doing some reading, I think it is time to ring the concern bell on the offense. They really have no idea what they are doing.

Patricia is running plays that obviously don't work against zone...this is not good.

One braincell by the sea.

What a dope showing up now when the coast is clear.

what is the injury? I don't remember reading about one. I believe McGrone was looked at in a similar fashion.

I don't think we know, and honestly, I'm probably just assuming it's an injury based on his history. It doesn't help that PS players don't need to be listed on the injury report, so all we have to go on is absence. Could be an excused thing, but it's been going on through multiple game weeks now. Someday we'll find out I guess... maybe.

Amazing how Tomlin kept AB under control for all that time. Good coach.
He just kept the crazy in-house, stopped it from coming to light... But there were still instances where it shone through... The Facebook live stuff, pegging roethlisberger with a football... Suspension for not practicing... Getting ticked off over juju getting team MVP... How many other incidents were there we didn't hear of? Control? Nah... Contained is more like
