Brady was willing to re-sign here under certain conditions; Bill was unwilling to meet those conditions, so yeah he kinda did let him go.
Brady left because Bill could not get him targets to throw to; it is BB's blind spot. It is as simple as that. Why do you think Brady signed with Tampa? Look at their receiver corps.

Maybe that was one of the conditions...?

He's going to be on a mission tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if he's top 5 in YAC's league wide.
I was all about KB bets in the Dingleberry Casino but he could just as easily become world's greatest decoy. Imunno.
Not to be difficult, but you do realize he was first on the team last season in yards per catch among receivers with 20+ receptions in 2021, averaging 14.1ypc, right?

Oh my GOD Ian I am so aware of his 14.1 ypc in 2021, the fact that he tallied 800 yards (for second on the team), 5 TDs, and his 78% catch ratio, the only gaudy stat to his credit. Oh my GAWD yes, and I am aware that in 2020, before he became Bad Agholor in '21, Nelson Agholor had an over 18 yard per catch average in 2020, and I am aware that in 2019 Davante Parker brought in 1200 yards, 9 TDs, and 16.7 yards per catch. My GOD we're wrapped up in Kendrick Bourne here. And you're not being the slightest bit difficult, if anything, I am. I just eventually got sick of watching the herd moo their way through this latest snoozer of a drama. We're not begging for talent at wideout, however we'd feel about players passing judgment on coaches if we were strapped for personnel at wideout. If I had to pick an explanation from the ones floated, that would be it -- he opposes the install. Well, okay, I have to bite the bullet and do what the bosses say at work, If my role changes it changes. Okay, I'm a grownup. Now I'm going to go home and get in my feelings about whether Kendrick Bourne is happy with the direction of the Pats' scheme? F no.

Of course, that might not be the correct narrative. All we really know is "Oh My God, they benched Kendrick!" "You bastards!" And the difference b/w this situation and the Kenny on South Park version is with Kenny I only had to hear that line once a week.

This is the Pats versus Steelers pre-game thread. You two have been around long enough to follow a thread subject matter.

Stop trying to rewrite history while wearing your Tommy goggles. Brady/Gisele didn’t like that Bill treated him like Johnny F*cking Foxboro and didn’t accept his bff upper thigh rub down guy as a de facto staff member but if Belichick had been willing to pay him the contract that Brady wanted, he would have stayed. It had little to nothing to do with “weapons”.

Plus, only two teams actually made a push to sign him and made him legit contract offers in 2020. He didn’t have many options in the end.

So, basically, you're crying because something you won't let die... won't die.

He didn’t have many options in the end.
Yep. There is even stuff like him seething because a team said "we are happy with who we have and don't want to sign you"

I find it a strange cooincidence that Brady left the team with the worst WR corps and went to, arguably, the best. And the way he coddles bad-boy WRs that can get open makes me think that the Patriots appalling WR situation was why he left.

Interesting no JJ Taylor promotion. I guess that means Strong is healthy enough to play. Only 3 RBs on the active roster

Suddenly thin at RB. Maybe Strong is healthy and better than he’s shown.

I suspect Strong will be active and will probably return kickoffs. He did some work there in the preseason.

Brady left because he didn't feel appreciated.

He wanted something more than just a year by year contract and BB wouldn't give that to him.

That sack is ALL on Strange69. Period.

Also not surprised about the run grades, for either him or Thanksdad the ****ing Disgrace.
That sack was on Strange, or one could argue it was on the vets around him for not making clear the blocking assignments.

That being said Rhamondre and Harris averaged 4.3 yards a carry against a tough defensive front, they both ripped off 12 yard runs. The blocking, outside of a couple mistakes, was good. The entire team has to clear up the mistakes, especially Mac who needs to do a better job of recognizing the blitz.

Nut uh, you

I'm not crying because anything. Ian axed me something, I responded.

This is the second time I've fielded this sort of complaint from you, Deus. I can just not answer you too, I can ignore, etc. I have a lot to get to and this place is world-class procrastination for me. That's my problem, so smash that ignore button, you shouldn't suffer. I get up, I see that poor Deus is again trying his hand at dictating what I post, and I post once more, pointless though it may be.

Now you're a little less lonely this morning, and so am I. Still, this is not the sort of conversation that should be mistaken under any circumstances for a continuation of an exchange of information between you and me. I supplied you with the information you need to reconsider what I'll generously style your "ideas." That on;y makes you mad. Now we're just bickering about your desire for me to stop helping others with their valuation of Bourne.

You don't have to do that, Deus. You can as easily just skip over the comment. It's just a public post replying to the someone else asking about what I've posted about Bourne. So, I supplied him with some of the same information.

Hey, may Bourne go off this Sunday, bringing you and your ilk some feeling of vindication. After all, an average of almost 50 yards a game, can include 100 yard efforts. He hasn't done that for us yet, but this could be a breakout week... I am pulling for him.

Is Taylor injured. It seems strange that he wasn't activated.

no...he's fine

Interesting no JJ Taylor promotion. I guess that means Strong is healthy enough to play. Only 3 RBs on the active roster

Interesting indeed... Billy might've been worried that one of his useless special olympics teamers would've been exposed to waivers if Kid Dyno-Mite had been promoted... Don't be surprised if JonNo Smith spends a bit of time in the backfield, similar to what CP has been doing in Atlanta...

“For me, personally, just hearing him talk about (defense), it allows me to kind of see what defensive guys are thinking,” receiver Jakobi Meyers told NESN.com on Thursday. “Just why they would do this — not just what they’re doing, but why they would do it and, like, how I could possibly beat it if I know why they’re doing it. So, I think his defensive perspective is a great help.

“It’s different from anything I’ve ever had, honestly, because I’ve never had a defensive coach coaching me. So, having him now, it’s like an extra step of preparation.”
